Why wont my car wont hold water or anti-freeze and i cant figure out where its coming from or even going?

its possible that the engine is burning the coolant which would not show either by causing the oil to turn a milky color or leave a puddle were you parked. it may be just a small problem at the moment not causing the car to overheat. have the head gaskets checked for damage with a head gasket test. it could also be a possible intake gasket leak causing the coolant to be burnt but not leak into the engine oil. just somethings to check out.

How to tell if i have a blown head gasket on my 2004 pontiac grand prix

The only way to know for sure is to pull the heads and check the head gaskets.
Oil in the cooling system or coolant in the crankcase is usually a sign of a gasket failure.

2004 pontaic grand prix white smoke coming fro m exhast

Quit driving it. You have blown a intake manifold gasket or a head gasket. 3.4 engines are known for blowing intake gaskets. Check your oil, make sure it is not exessive or milky in color. White smoke is caused from water/coolant entering the cylinder.

My 1996 grand prix started to register cooling temp of over 210 degrees. the motor doesn't seem to be overheating. I've replaced the water pump, thermostat, temp sensor, both fan relays, low coolant...

I would first check the cooling fans. To do this unplug the fans and use two jumper wires to hook them direct to the battery and test. If the fans are working I would have the radiator cleaned or purchase a new one. To clean the radiator take it to a professional and tell them you would like it rodded out. You can purchase a new one for about twice the price. I wouldn't worry about the low coolent sensor. By it being on it will not send a message that your vehicle is overheating. If you have changed everything that you say you have and the fans work and radiator is cleaned you may have a blown head gasket. If you have a blown head gasket you would see steam comming out of the tail pipes or water in the oil on dip-stick. Good luck.

My car got hot i killed it but will not start now

Is the battery up? if it is check your watr and oil if yo see oil mixed with the antifreeze yo have a blown head gasket and are talking about a expensive repair. you could be lucky and have a stuck thermostate but the engine should crank over easy. if not yo have a bad head head gasket.

I have a 1990 pontiac grand prix LE 3.1 v6 and it starts but when the engine gets warm it starts to spudder and when you hit the gas it will shut off i replaced the fuel pump and the fuel filter and ideas

Possible blown head gasket. Check the oil to see if there is water in it. When it starts, does water or steam come out of the exhaust pipe? Those are 2 signs of a blown head gasket.

I have a 05 grand prix with a 3800-v-6. have oil in raditor. 96000 miles. checking fluid in radiator noticed oil. before that i had a radiator flush. new radiator fluid too. the reservoir had some oil too.

Your head gasket is leaking, or you have a cracked cylinder wall.

chances are its the head gasket moreso than a cracked head.

grand prix are notorious for leaking head gaskets. have the block mic'd when you get it apart to make sure its not warped - if you put a new gasket in the same thing will happen.

The only sure fire way to tell if the head gasket is gone is to do a compression test. If you are not familiar with how to do a compression test it would be best to have a friend that does know how to do so or take it to a professional.

From your descriptions, it seems likely that could be the issue as if the head gasket goes, you will run hot if not overheat and it will be difficult for the engine to run and when it does there most definitely be smoke out the exhaust.
