Question about 2001 Dodge Ram 2500 Truck
No heat, no ac, blows room temp air on all fan settings. I also hear a clicking noise from the (AC?) unit every 10 seconds for about 2-3 seconds. I plan to replace the serpentine belt wich is worn, but I'm not sure that's teh cause of the heat/ac problem...ideas?
The upper passenger side firewall has a little black line passing through it . Usually it is broken. There is also a ball on the drivers side firewall behind the hinge

SOURCE: 2001 caravan fan only blows on high ac/heat both
It is the blower motor resistor located behind the dash glove box. Take the glove box out to access and change. It is mounted on/into the fire wall.
Very easy to access, remove and install a new resistor.

SOURCE: Clicking noise in front end 2001 dodge ram 4x4
I have a 2002 Dodge 1500 Ram 4x4, quad cab and had the same problem. In 2wd the clicking was constant, in 4wd it would go away. Also I had no 4wd while in 4wd, found that out after a snow storm. I took my truck to a buddies garage (a Dodge mechanic), he said this is a common problem. He pulled the drivers side wheel, hub, axle and stub axle. The stub axle splines where it goes into the CV joint and and the internal splines in the CV joint were gone. Almost smooth even. The wheel bearing was completely wore out too. I ended up replacing the hub assembly, both the inner and outer axles. Not a cheap fix either I have about $600 repair bill, but it's back on the road now smooth and quite.

SOURCE: ac will not blow thru ac vents, only thru defrost vents.
if vent doors are operated by vacuum check for loose or broken vacuum hoses in the engine compartment , or check the fuse box for any ac/heat fuses if it is a electricaly controoled system
