Question about 2001 Dodge Ram 2500 Truck

2001 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 with no heat, no ac, blows room temp air on all fan settings

No heat, no ac, blows room temp air on all fan settings. I also hear a clicking noise from the (AC?) unit every 10 seconds for about 2-3 seconds. I plan to replace the serpentine belt wich is worn, but I'm not sure that's teh cause of the heat/ac problem...ideas?

The upper passenger side firewall has a little black line passing through it . Usually it is broken. There is also a ball on the drivers side firewall behind the hinge

SOURCE: 2001 caravan fan only blows on high ac/heat both

It is the blower motor resistor located behind the dash glove box. Take the glove box out to access and change. It is mounted on/into the fire wall.
Very easy to access, remove and install a new resistor.

SOURCE: Clicking noise in front end 2001 dodge ram 4x4

I have a 2002 Dodge 1500 Ram 4x4, quad cab and had the same problem. In 2wd the clicking was constant, in 4wd it would go away. Also I had no 4wd while in 4wd, found that out after a snow storm. I took my truck to a buddies garage (a Dodge mechanic), he said this is a common problem. He pulled the drivers side wheel, hub, axle and stub axle. The stub axle splines where it goes into the CV joint and and the internal splines in the CV joint were gone. Almost smooth even. The wheel bearing was completely wore out too. I ended up replacing the hub assembly, both the inner and outer axles. Not a cheap fix either I have about $600 repair bill, but it's back on the road now smooth and quite.

No heat in 2001 dodge stratus, changed Thermostat still blows cold air?

Check the coolant level. If its low you wont get any heat. If its full then I would suspect that the temp. selector on the climate control is faulty. Farley easy to replace. Your local you pull parts yard will have one for $20-$35.

2004 dodge ram AC clicking

There is what is called a "blend door" that controls the flow of air to either the heater core for heat or the evaporator core for cold. It switches back and forth via the temp you request. The servo motor that controls this may eithere have gone bad or the the door could be in a bind. This involves getting to the top or sides of the plenum which air flows through. Removing the glove box door and compartment will assist in accessing this. I hope this helps

I have a 2001 dodge ram. NO HEAT but the fan and ac works

If the air deflector is moving correctly, Make sure your thermostat is not hanging open and that your coolant level is up to standards. While the engine is at running temp. check the two hoses that go through the firewall to the heater core. If they are both hot than one of the servos, vacuum or motorized may not be moving the deflector doors correctly. Try to hear any movement when you switch back and forth between defrost and floor heat.I doubt you need to replace the heater because of the age of your vehicle. Try to watch for any movement under the dash while you move the control. Good luck, Dana

2001 dodge ram when you trun the heat on it blowes cool air

1st check your coolant level, if it's low, it won't circulate thru the heater core, and u will have little or no heat (easy fix!). If that isn't the problem, what does your engine temp gauge indicate? Is it running @ normal or low? How long does it take for the engine to reach operating temp? Let me know, as it could be a thermostat problem. If it's stuck open, the engine won't reach operating temp, and u won't have heat. There are a couple of other possibilities, let me know what u find with this info, these are the 2 easiest and common problems.
