My 2001 Nissan Altima has a squeeking sound coming from the drivers side wheel. It only squeeks when the car is moving. And I don't think it squeeks when I use the brakes. What could be causing it to...

You will need to pull the wheel off and inspect the brakes. Spray some brake fluid cleaner on the rotor and disc area to clean the brake dust off. Next, have the wheel bearing checked and replaced, a bad wheel bearing would cause your wheel to squeak.

I have a 95 honda civic 2dr coup. when ever the car is in motion i hear squeeking/ grinding from the rear breaks. I don't know what could keep causing this. I just replaced the rear break pads, drum...

you may need a hub bearing. do you know which side? they're relatively easy to check; just jack up rear of car, release e-brake and rotate each wheel, listening for any noise or rumble; another way is to place your hand on the coil spring while spinning the wheel, as any rumbling that can't be heard will be felt in the spring. hope this helps.

Squeeks and creeks from the front right wheel on my honda civic

you could have 2 problems. steering leak and poss a bearing. jack up the car and spin the right front wheel, makes noise there is a problem. if the noise only happens when you turn, with tire off turn the wheel and watch.

Hear a grinding noise from the right front wheel when I make left turn (mostly). Noise has now progressed to anytime the wheel is in motion. Also hear squeeking sound (ball bearing possibly?). I've changed...

You should definitely pull the front wheel and check the bearings (they are roller bearings, not ball bearings). With the wheel off, you should be able to isolate where the noise is coming from, but I vote for the bearings. Check, replace and/or repack, and adjust properly. If you have noise, you should be able to feel the "play" in the bearings, or see the wear problem on the spindle and bearings. I hope this helps you.

Squeek noise on front wheels when hit bump

The problem could be caused by a wheel bearing squeeling or the cv joint squeeling.

Steering wheel squeeks. sounds like a rubber bushing squeek when turning wheel.

CHECK THE INNER TIE-RODS LOCATED BEHIND THE CENTER OF THE ENGINE. NEAR THE FIREWALL. THERE YOU WILL FIND THE TWO TIE-RODS CONNECTED BY A FIGURE 8 LOOKING DEVICE. WHILE AN ASSISTANT TURNS THE STEERING WHEEL, TAKE NOTE OF THE LOSS OF MOTION FOUND IN THE STEERING. BY REPLACING THIS INNER TIE-ROD ASSEMBLY, YOU WILL REGAIN THE LOSS OF MOTION IN THE STEERING WHEEL TO THE FRONT TIRES WHICH MAY BE WEARING OUT ON THE INSIDES OF THE TREADS. HOPE THIS HELPS. PLEASE KEEP ME POSTED. THANK YOU FOR AN HONEST RATING AND FOR USING FIX-YA. GOOD LUCK

Not necessarily, Dryeness can cause this. Had this once on my Lancer Evo. Still there when cleaned the car?

Squeeks from front end, 1999 explorer sport

you did not indicated when the squeek occurs. If you turn the steering wheel and there is a dry squeek look at the tie rod ends. If you bounce the truck and the squeek is heard look at the stabilizer bar bushings {most common cause } If this is the cause, lubing them is a temporary fix they should be replaced.
