Fuel gauge issue : this could be the fuel level sensor on the tank. its only a minor thing. with in regards to the lights it sounds like there is a wire that is shorting out causing it to stay on but take it an electrician and they should be able to test for this, and also the light switch could be faulty aswell and wont let the light turn off

What i'm wondering is with all these things going wrong at the same time, is there a common factor that could be causing this?

SOURCE: dash reads passenger door open when it is closed and interior lights stay on while driving

The door switch has been integrated into the latch mechanism on many GM vehicles, but I believe the switch can be replaced seperately. You will have to pull of the door trim panel to get at it,so you can probably do it yourself, depending on your skill level.

Only one bad door switch should do that

The 20 min time out is the GEM or Body Module,
which is normal only because you have a bad switch,
otherwise it goes to sleep when either front door opens

Put radio on & open a door, the radio should go off
& kill the time delay if no issues exist

2003 chevy trailblazer driver door controls don't work, interior light won't work when driver door is opened. The other three doors work ok

There two common problems with the driver's door control panel, rain water gets into the module and damages the electrics or the wires in the door boot break or abrade and short out. To check out the control panel itself, take the passenger side panel and hook it up to the drivers side, if everything works, replace the driver's panel.

this is the door open light indicator on your instrument panel correct? it thinks the door is open. do interior courtesy lights work? i.e. turn on off when opening doors? check for "normally open" circuit faults in the door switches

All the lights on the inside stop working at the same time and I can't find the right fuse

My husband and I had the same problem. One of us had hit a button on the roof console that turns off all the interior lights. Try that incase it is not a fuse. There is a fuse panel on the passenger side open the door there next to the glove compartment.

Interior lights stay on when the switch is off and car is parked

is the door ajar light on sometimes also when driving? I had a similar problem with the light staying on. I determined that it was the passenger front door latch sticking. I opened the door, then took a screwdriver to push the latch shut on the door jamb. (Make the truck think the door is shut even though it is open). Then lubricate that jamb and pull the handle open to open the door. Keep doing this (closing with screwdriver and opening with handle) until the latch works freely. This took care of my light and door ajar problem.
