Question about 2002 Lincoln LS
Hello, Take your battery in for a test if your car fails to crank over. The Ford products are sensitive to Voltage and their Antitheft will reduce the Voltage to the starter if the system detects low battery Voltage.
If your Model is the type which requires the Brake pedal to be pressed in order to crank the engine, a safety switch on the top of the Brake pedal lever oftens gets hit by the drivers' feet and broken or moved out of place. You would need to look under the dash for this problem. I mention this because of your lights flickering.
Dirty battery cables can cause some of these symptoms, but let us know whether the engine cranks or just does not start when cranking.
There is a fuelpump shutoff switch which can be reset, but it does not cause a flicker problem when it functions.
I hope my solution is helpful.
