The thermostat could have failed. or the temperature control sensor. Hope it's a start. Did check engine light come on ? If so it will most likely be a sensor. But the thermostat can be the problem.

Heater not working blows but no heat

Oh no! What do you do when your car heater not working? How do you figure out why there's no heat in car? What if you have no heater in car? Before you start trying to figure out how to fix car heater yourself, you should know a little about how your car's heating system operates. That will help you to figure out your car heater problem and why your heater isn't working properly or even at all! So, let's talk about how your heating system functions and then about some of the more obvious reasons that it you may be getting no heat from car heater. In order to heat up the inside of your car, the heating system uses some of the excess heat produced from your engine. Actually the engine produces so much heat that if you didn't have a way to release it (the heating/cooling system in your car) it could harm and even destroy the engine! That is why the heating/cooling system is set up to remove some of the heat and keep your car running smoothly.

if your not getting any heat make sure the coolant level is full.next when the engine is at operating temperature put ypur hands on the heater hoses they should be the same temperature if not then the heater core is plugged and your can try to flush the system,if it didn`t fix it then replace the heater core.

Have you considered flushing out the cooling system?? I think if the heater core is plugged up with a film internal your not going to get efficient heat

The heater blows cold looking for heater fuse or selenoid to try to fix

if the heater is blowing cold then it is not a fuse
it is probably your thermostat or heater core
but i will change the thermostat first
and bleed the heating system also

My dodge dakota doesn't blow hot air at all. i have replaced the thermostat, water pump, fan, and fan clutch. i had problems with it over heating i've fixed that problem but now living in CO. I don't have...

May be a plugged heater core. OR Someone removed your thermostat to cure you overheating problem. Remove heater hoses , (in and out hoses) leading to and from heater core and try to blow through it. DO NOT clean out using more than 16 p.s.i. as this will burst you heater core. Also check to be sure heater flap is opering to let heated air into cab.
