You have to take off the inside door panel to get to the inside latch. there are everal plastic snaps that hold the bottom part of it on and then several screws you have to remove to get to the inside door panel.once there you should be able to see where the door handle is loose at and hook it back up. it can be a pain but its the only way to get in thee to fix it.it goes back together the way it came apart.

Why does my door in the ford expedition not open from the inside

The inside door handle could be broken, or the rods that connect the inside handle to the door lock mechanism could be disconnected. You will need to remove the inside door panel to repair the problem.

How do I get access to the rear passanger side

You'll need to remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to get it off the window ledge. If needed, you can pull back the weather seal (can't reuse it, but it's not that important) and you will be able to access everything inside the door

Driver side exterior door handle pulls the locking mech. down when the handle is lifted. can open if 1)time lifting the handle with pressing the fob button just right, or 2) someone holds down the unlock...

Take the door panel off the inside of the door. (Should involve screws at the bottom, plus bolts through the interior handle. Then pull out at the bottom, and lift upward Google for expedition door panel removal for more specifics if needed).

It sounds like the exterior handle linkage is binding against the lock button linkage. Actually looking in while pulling the handle would confirm. You then should be able to just bend the rods a bit to move them apart.

Driver door will not open from inside

Your inside door handle is probably broken. The gear has stripped causing it not to work. Remove the door panel to verify the rod for the inside handle is not moving. .

Front door panel removal

There is a triangular piece, at top corner, covering a screw behind the mirror. Remove that screw. Remove the piece that covers the handle and remove the screw holding the handle to the door. Look through, where door handle was and remove another screw just above where the handle was. This screw is holding the panel to the actual door. Pop the cover off for the automatic door locks and disconnect them. Lift the panel in an upward direction.
