Check diff oil and replace. Retry. If no luck, then repair or replace differential unit.

Loud whining noise especially on exceleration in 2010 Mazda Tribute

A loud whining noise on acceleration in a 2010 Mazda Tribute could be a sign of a few different issues. Here are some potential causes:
  1. Power steering pump: A whining noise can be an indication of a failing power steering pump. The noise may increase when the steering wheel is turned.
  2. Alternator: If the whining noise increases with engine speed, the alternator may be failing. This is because the alternator is responsible for charging the battery and powering the car's electrical system.
  3. Transmission: A whining noise during acceleration could also be a sign of transmission issues, such as low transmission fluid levels, worn bearings, or a damaged gear.
  4. Differential: A whining noise that increases with speed could also be a sign of a failing differential. This is the part of the car that transfers power from the engine to the wheels.
It's important to have a professional mechanic diagnose and fix the issue to prevent further damage to your vehicle.

1991 mazda mx5 eunos roadster radiator clogged with oil

Your radiator is leaking internally, leaking transmission fluid from the transmission fluid cooler into the radiator where the coolant is. You can't fix it, just get the radiator replaced and then flush the coolant.

I have a mk1 mx5 which is making a high pitch wirling sound. It seams to get worse the faster you go. I dont think its the gearbox. Could it be the rear diff? If so is it expensive to replace? And what...

Your sound definitely sounds like a transmission issue whether it be the gearbox or rear differential. I'm going to assume that you've checked that it isn't caused by the engine by revving the car when stationary etc.
If it IS a differential, this really is a problem you want to fix as soon as possible. If you're trying to accelerate into traffic or using power out of a round-a-bout you could possibly stress the already damaged component past its remaining capacity. If your diff goes AWOL all of a sudden, you could be left without power or proper control in a VERY dangerous situation.
Sorry for the bad news, Sherwin

Sounds like you rear hood drains are blocked.

Do a web search on how to unblock drains on Miata or Mazda MX5
