Check brake light switch (likely faulty). This issue may not be related to the engine issue.
If not the brake switch then check wiring for possible short circuit.

SOURCE: Battery Light came on

It is vital that you find the source of the smoke you smelled. That could have been caused by a short in the wiring and has the potential to start an electrical fire.

Now I would expect that a fuse would have been blown somewhere with a short, so check the fuses to make sure they are all good. The fact you still get the batter light indication on the dash tells me that the battery is possibly getting weak. But, if there was a short somewhere, then I would expect to see the batter light on the dash too as a short will greatly lower the available voltage and power available to the rest of the car.

The fact the lights in the car were dim supports this even further.

You clearly have an electrical issue somewhere and the first steps would be to look for a short in the electrical wiring. The tough thing is that it could be just about anywhere. But do a visual inspection on the wiring in the engine bay. Look for any burnt wiring or any signs of melting anywhere. Check all the fuses. If you find one that is blown, it may point us to the circuit that is in trouble and possibly shorted out.

SOURCE: Aztek won't start, key locked in ignition, service engine light on

It is the security chips in the keys. Has this car been wrecked? Was this car made in Mexico? GM had the bright Idea of creating a security system that would do exactly this, I know on cars made in Mexico (like the HHR) You can reset the power and get the key back out, but vehicle will have to be reprogrammed with the master key. This involves turning the key from off to run position without ever going past run (i.e. start position) leave key in this position for 30 minutes. Turn key back to off for 30 seconds then back to run for 30 minutes. repeat this step three times. the last time, after 3rd 30 minute period, turn key off for 30 seconds and then try to crank. Please note this only works if the original master key is being used. You can then reprogram the second key following a similar sequence, only master key that is working has to be inserted to let alarm system know that vehicle is not being stolen only that you are trying to reprogram a key. If original master key is not being used then vehicle has to be taken to the GM dealership to program keys and possible key module replacement.

SOURCE: engine smokes and burns of oil or something else burning.

both of the other answers are possibilities, just check both fluid levels. if tranny oil is low but you see no smoke at all under the hood while it is running and you are looking at the motor, it could also be that you have some piston rings not sealing. it will usually result in low oil pressure also.

SOURCE: Rear windows on 2003 Montana won't close, now

If the lockout switch on drivers door is "OFF"... Window fuse's and relay's may be up under passenger side dash or behind glove box.
Could also be a broken wire in the rubber boot going from the door to the body. You will have to eliminate each till you find the culprit.
The motor and the relay are the most likely to cause this problem. Try swapping the relay with a working window relay. If it still doesn't work, remove the door panel and remove the window motor.
Turn the motor shaft in both directions by hand several turns. Then plug the motor in and see if the switch will now run the motor. Sometimes thats all it takes to get it working again. I have had to do this with brand new motors. If voltage is not present at the motor connector, either a bad switch or a broken wire exsists. Make sure to check for voltage coming to that windows switch. Actually, GM use's a circuit breaker type relay for each window and one fuse for all the circuit breakers.

SOURCE: security light blinks car won't start

The process for the passlock relearn is correct. If by chance the relearn does not work, you may have a fail component in the system. Go to this link for options to fix this yourself.

I tried to start my car this morning. There was no electricity at all and i mean at all, The power locks won't even work nothing. The car won't start, it's perfectly silent when you turn

You would need to use a meter or test light to find out what exactly is dead. It could be a short in the fuse box, or a bad connection in the harness, or at the battery or starter.
You may need a repair book or shop manual to get the wiring diagrams.
If nothing on the truck works, you would start at the battery cables and work back to the key switch.

2006 Ford Expedition will not start this morning, battery checks 12 volts, will not do anything when turn key to start position

You can jump starter relay to see if starter will crank the engine. Pull the starter relay, use jumper wire between terminals 30 and 87, terminal 30 is hot all the time and there is a fuse, the starter motor should crank the engine. If you try that make sure tranny is in park or neutral and parking brake is set. Two voltage circuits at starter motor, one is hot all the time. The other goes hot when relay is energized. The starter motor grounds through engine block. Battery positive and negative connections are important.

MY PLYMOUTH GRAND VOYAGER 'S HEADLIGHT'S AND DASH LIGHTS WORK, BUT THE ENGINE WON'T TURN OVER. THERE IS NO SPARK COMING FROM THE ELECTRICAL WIRES.

When you say no spark, are you talking about the spark plugs, or just the general wiring?

If the engine won't turn over, then it isn't moving, and if it isn't moving then you need to check the following in this order:

1) Does the battery have power i.e. around 12.4 volts or over? No? Charge, test or replace battery.

2) Do the car's head lights dim considerably if turned on when attempting to crank? Yes? Possible lack of battery charge or faulty battery.

3) Assuming the battery is fine, can you turn the dash warning lights on and off with the key? No? Faulty ignition switch.

4) Is there a click sound when you turn the key, but no starter motor spin? Check starter motor connections or replace starter motor.

If none of the above prove to be of help, then please report.
