SOURCE: 06 Colorado wont start at times

there is a faulty switch in the steering wheel column. My truck did the same thing. Next time check to see if the security light flashes next time it doesn't start. the time delay is more like 10 min.

SOURCE: Gas cap off and engine light came on in 2006 Chevy

If all it was is that you did have it off it will reset by the 3rd drive cycle. It may take between 50 & 200 miles.

Seam like transmission fluid is low.
-Start the engine, let it run for 10 minutes to normal temperature . Do not turn it off and check transmission fluid. If it's low add more fluid to full indicator. And try again.

Good Luck

1997 isuzu rodeo 3.2v6 trouble code p0446

Here is the description for the code. The vent system would need to be checked out to find the actual problem. It should have been fixed under factory warranty.
The P0446 codes triggered when an improper voltage signal is sent to Engine Control Module (ECM) through EVAP canister vent control valve.
Possible causes - -
- Missing Fuel cap
- Incorrect fuel filler cap used
- Fuel filler cap remains open or fails to close
- Foreign matter caught in fuel filler cap
- Vent control valve harness is open or shorted
- Vent control valve circuit poor electrical connection
- Faulty vent control valve

P0440-This Relates to System for Evaporative Emission. You will need to check the purge cannister that is in the engine bay and connects as a vent to fuel system and fuel tank.Loosen the fuel cap and roadtest, should change the faults or eliminate.Get back to me with your findings and we can work towards a solution.I hope that this helps.

Get the fuel pressure checked. If the fuel pressure checks out low, then its a fuel pump and clogged fuel filter related problem. If fuel pressure checks out ok then get the spark plug to coil pack voltage as well as connection checked. This will help to start the troubleshooting.

no wont be a relay, also if cap was loose, after tighting it you would have to drive about 30 miles with a complete engine cool down in between so computer can retest system then it would turn light off after it passed the test, if you did this and light is still on or if you reset computer and light came on then theres a problem, maybe a puge valve or vent valve or a leaking line, may have to smoke test system,
