Problem for Lincoln 2000 Continental

Need code for radio 95 bmw 525i

The battery on my car died, and so did my radio with it. After charging the battery i discovered that the radio is no longer working,all it says is "code". What is this code and where can i find it other than taking out the radio or getting it from the 'porfolio' (my car bought used came without this portfolio). Thank you.

If you do not have the code written in your owners manual or on some other piece of material you got with the purchase of your car then the only way to get the code is to remove the radio, check the serial number and call BMW with that serial number. Good luck!
