Guessing you have the 4.2 liter engine and are trying to figure out how to "release" the oil pan from the engine block as it is on there even though all the oil pan bolts holding on the transmission bellhousing (4 of them) are out and you have everything out of your way like the compressor and differential etc. Take the 2 bolts that were holding the oil pan to the engine block. There are 2 "jack screws" on the oil pan. Take those 2 bolts and put them in the "jack screws and tighten the evenly in to remove/loosen the oil pan. Hope this is what you were talking about as this is kind of a tricky one if you haven't done one before.

If you have bearing problems MAP sensor codes are the least of your worries. Check on the cost of getting a new engine. I hope this is not the problem. Good luck Moe

SOURCE: replace low beam headlight on 2003 chevy trailblazer

I just replaced the low-beam bulb on my 2003 Chevy Trailblazer. The grill just needs to be loosed slightly. Then, raise two L shaped brackets, one on each side. For the inside one, I needed to use a flathead screwdriver to get to it. The light assembly can then be pulled out. Remove the rubber cover and rotate the bulb one quarter turn left to release it. Pull out the bulb, replace with a new one ($11.50) from Advance Auto Parts, and reverse the process. Once I figured it out, took about 10 minutes total.

I have a 05 chevy trailblazer im trying to drop the oilpan to get the front timing cover off to do this there is a inner shaft inside the axle that goes through the pan how can i get this inner shaft...

You have to remove the differential and the controller from the oil pan. The shaft usually come out with the controller, some times not. Use pliers and pull it out , it will come. Be careful pulling the differ parts off the oil pan. These can break, pan also. Pry them out(back and forth), use plenty of spray lube. You also have to remove the valve cover to get the timing cover out. Hope you have a manual for this.

You have to remove the oil pan first - the diff stays up in the body until you remove the pan, then the diff comes out.

2003 Trailblazer EXT - replacing the front differential. I have it all torn down, the differential loose, all the bolts out of the oil pan but the oil pan will not come loose. Help please?

it's possible the gasket could be sticking. give a few taps with a hammer just dont go crazy on it, i think it's aluminum. hit it on a well reinforced part, or use a block of wood to spread out the blow.

Where is oil pump on a tril blazes 2002

Your oil pump is mounted to the underside of your engine block, inside the oil pan. To say it is buried would be an understatement. Depending on clearance to remove your oil pan, you may have to pull the engine to gain access.
