I generally can get away with a small, fine screwdriver, and push that into the radio's key release gaps down the side. You can basically get away with using anything metal, which fits down those key holes.

How to pull stereo out

There is a special tool to remove it. It has four rods that go into the four holes on the face and releases the clips. If you're handy and not an animal, you can fabricate a tool that will work out of welding rods or even a stiff wire hanger but, remember to install the rods straight and they don't have to go too deep. If you have a feel for tools in your hands you will feel the rods engaging the clips. Hold the tool perpendicular to the radio and leave it in when you try to pull out the radio. You must engage all 4 clips or you could damage the dash. Just be careful!

Locked myself out of my windstar no spare key

for electric locks, straighten and thread a standard wire coat hanger or similar between the window glass and rubber trim in a suitable area and at the shortest distance from the lock release button below it. experiment with movement on insertion until can depress lock release with the end of the hanger. can be done in 10-30secs

for standard locks, form a hook at the end of the straightened standard wire hanger or similar. push the hooked end along window under the rubber trim from above the area of the keyhole to about keyhole depth or a little beyond. experiment with upward tugs until you see button raise. also can be done in 10-30secs

for either, as long as there is enough reach to the "tool", excess wire can be bent in suitable ways to assist with control of "tool".

How do i remove radio in 1995 E320

The bezel around the radio, just pops off. It is held on with clips. Just be carefull not to break it at the thinner sections. After you get it off you can acess the screws to remove the radio. Just a note, some models there may be a couple of scews at the bottom of the bezel.

Radio wont pop out 2000 taurus on left side right side ok

Hi!! If you are using the Radio Removal Tool or a home made tool made with a wire clothes hanger, you have to pull both sides at same time, otherwise the clip will bend making the removal harder. Try inserting two separate wires and make sure they are actually getting in the release clips, you should be able to feel the clip grabbing the wire. Do not just force the panel off.
Good Luck!! A HELPFUL - 4 THUMBS - rating for this solution would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for using FixYa.

Need to remove radio from 2003 ford f150

Remove the center oval trim panel. I usually just grab in the HVAC vents and pull, but you might want to use a plastic trim tool to work your way around the center trim bezel.

Pro Fit International has some good directions with pictures ( obviously only use them for accessing the radio, no need to continue for the vehicle specific mount )

This should be your MY and make ( right click save as ):

Once the radio is exposed, you will see 2 sets of round holes on each side.
You can buy the tools, or just bend a wire coat hanger in the required shape to insert into the holes to release the radio.

These are usually called Ford DIN Radio Removal Tool ( or similar ) if you want to purchase the actual tools, but I have had good luck with the coat hanger DIY tool.

Yeah those stereos are a pain to get out with just 4 peices of wire clothes hanger. I think a part store sells or lends out the Ford stereo removal tool that works perfect everytime. Way better than a clothes hanger!
