SOURCE: Pontiac G5 pursuit 2006 1.air bags

1st problem your airbag light staying on in, your airbag will deploy through a signal from a series of sensors placed in your vehicle. If one of those has become faulty the light may be on as a result and will be serviced by the dealer as most other service centers will not work on airbags for the liability aspects. As to the noise with the brakes, as long as vehicle is stopping fine without excessive vibration (due to a pitted rotor) or spongy/pulsating brake pedal (due to air in system or faulty component) you should inspect the wear on your brake pads and check the scraper to see if its making contact with the rotor (sometimes when there is still a little bit of wear remaining on the pads you will hear some squeeling momentarily when you let off your brakes and the pistons in your calipers release and pads release pressure from the rotors. You may also have some brake dust that has accumulated and you could try cleaning it with some brake cleaner spray

My husband has a pontiac G5 that won't shift out of park

If your brake lights are out when you press the brake pedal, then the switch on the brake pedal is bad. It also is a safety on the transmission, so the car will lock the shifter in place if the pedal is not depressed.

I NEED DIRECTIONS ON HOW TO CHANGE THE LIGHT

You need to replace the turn signal and brake light bulb, any auto part store will carry it $2 per bulb. In trunk remove carpet covering where the cargo net would hook.Unscrew this, then you'll see the wires just move them and unscrew the bulb, and replace with new one.
