Thank you! I will give it a try. I found an oil leak at the back of the motor before this started happening. I wonder if the oil messed up the motor because the leak is at the back of the motor on the passenger side. Thanks again.

The problem is the wiper motor. I have had this problem before. The motor is located on the passenger side on the firewall. It is a easy fix hard part will be finding the right wiper motor. You need to see which direction the motor itself points (the black canister).

My wipers quit on my 92gmc sierra, I've replaced the motor and the switch. What would it take to hook them up to a toggle switch??

Hello: Have you tried the circuit board that goes on the front of the motor, That was a high failure item. I had a '92 (189000 mi) and had to replace 3 times.

91 miata main pulley lookes as if it wobbles

With a 1991 Miata you may have a short nosed crankshaft which is prone to cracking and breaking. If you have a 1991 with VIN 209447or more you should be safe. If the number is below that you need to head over to the garage section of Miata.net where you will find several articles on this very problem.

Here is a link to an excellent write up on the problem:

Good luck.
