A seal in the rack has failed, or been damaged. The rack might be able to be rekitted. Otherwise you will need to replace the rack.

Where does brake fluid go

Open the bonnet. Locate the thin brake pipes. Trace them back to the cap where you put brake fluid in. Usually close to the windscreen side of the engine infront of the brake servo which looks like a giant disc

Hi, i need to put water in my Ford Ka because the light is flashing and havent done it for a while. There are three tanks under the bonnet, one says power steering fluid so i assume its not that one. Then...

Hi, I'm not familiar with the Ka,but did the light go out after adding water? There are only 2 car fluids that are red. One is auto transmission fluid and one is a type of coolant. The transmission reservoir is in the pan, so I doubt you could have seen red fluid in the transmission without pulling up the dipstick. You can also try disconnecting the level sensor on the reservoir that you added water to. If the coolant light goes on and off when you short the terminals in that connector together (use a paper clip), then that is the coolant reservoir. My guess is you got it right.
