Very fee vehicles have a fuel pump shut off...this was a ford thing for a while. Nowadays fuel shutoff is accomplished by the various computers communicating in the car.

Where is the fuel pump reset in Volkswagen golf 2001

There is no reset to a fuel pump. A non working fuel pump will have to be replaced , but first check your fuel pump relay in the fuse relay box, (located to the left of the steering under the dash).

96 olds ciera quit no gas at schrader valve so installed new fuel pump an filter I have no power at the pump where do I go now

You should have a relay or a fuse, I forgot the number but it is located under the hood of the vehicle, the fuse may be located itself under the drivers dashboard

Feul pump malfuntion after stereo installation 94 ford f150 It ran fine when it was parked installed a new stereo and it won't start both fuel pumps seemed to have stopped working..

Check you Inertia switch, known as the crash switch. This can be set off by vibration or impact and all you do is press the reset button on the switch for 3 seconds.
If this does not work check the fuse. If it is not blown check the fuse socket with the ignition on to see if the power is dead to the fuse. If you have power to the fuse then you need to check for power at the fuel pump.

Where is the fuel pump reset button on a 96 grand am 2.4

GM CARS DON'T USE A FUEL PUMP RESET BUTTON, THEY HAVE AN OIL PRESSURE CONTROLLED FUEL PUMP CUTOFF SWITCH ON THE ENGINE, IF THE CAR HAS NO OIL PRESSURE AND THE KEY WAS ON THE FUEL PUMP SHUTS OFF.

Installed new fuel pump 96 vw golf now there is no power to the pump or the fuse . is there a reset buttom?

Did you test to see if their was voltage available to the old pump? Sounds like you have an open wire from the voltage source to the fuse. I am guessing that the old pump was not the problem.     You may bypass that by running a new wire of the proper size(same as the one there now)from the side of the switch that has 12 volts when you turn on the key to the fuse holder. The other side of the fuse holder to the pump, of course.
