I incounter a dismantled 6 cylinder fuel injected cherokee engine the owner want to rebuild it, i am asking aquick help how how to set the timming
Hi Leonciomanal,
This is not a quick answer type of question. Do you have a timing light? If not, then you'll need to get one. If you have one, connect it to the number 1 spark plug and aim the light at the timing mark on the flywheel of the timing belt. Loosen the distributor cap and turn it slowly to adjust the timing as necessary.
Hope this helps. Please rate this response

Ignition timing is controlled by the pcm.if ignition timing off either you have pcm problems or timing chain slipped time.
