SOURCE: My problem happens when I

go to a dealer parts guy and ask him to show you the IPB on the reverse switch. they will generally print you that page out of their book on CD for free. helps if you know your year, model, and what type tranny it has. might be a dealer only item so while you are there buy one

Auto door lock don't work, they click when activated. Also the door ajar light stays on and auto light does not work. F350 super duty 2002 ford

You might need to oil the locks. Our truck does that some times. We just spray some WD40 on the catches and keep clicking them back and forth till it sinks it. As for the ajar light, the sensor inside of the door jam might be damaged. or the switch on the lights is turned on. I did that once.

2002 mercury sable auto head lights don't work have to turn on manuall

If that was my car, I would go to the wiring diagrams
I buy for all my vehicles when I first get them

From there you make some choices as to how the system
works & where to start your testing or in an extremely rare
case replace something

I simply can't tell you if that switch you turn is bad or it
is good & it's output goes to a module, need to see the
system on paper

Get an Auto Electrician to trace and fix the problem. There are partial contacts in the wiring system.

It sometimes don't go over into overdrive but when it goes in there is no prolem can it be the wrong oil. The ABS light stays on. What oil must I use

The ABS Light is where you start

Just another Malfunction Lamp on your dash

Have the abs system checked, to get the code &
repaired first
May just be a wheel speed sensor

The Oil -- I assume is trans fluid, that your referring to
How would anything but trans fluid be in the trans?
You have several types ,so you must know which
type goes into almost all chrysler vehicles & it is in the
owners manual & on the dip stick

When your having the abs checked out,ask about the
overdrive issue, by going on a road test, with you driving
& a mechanic riding or don't leave the truck at that shop

My air bag light stays on in my 2004 pontiac montana

No different than any other OBD2 Malfunction Indicator Light
you get on your dash

My answer is pretty much the same,as we get hundreds of
these same check light questions every day

You can't work on your own car anymore, so it really doesn't
matter why or what the light is for,it still has to go in & be
diagnosed & resolved

That said, if the question is why or what with is wrong with the
srs or safety restraint system (air bag) don't know.

Has to be diagnosed by a repair shop with a professional scan
tool A code reader is of no value,so forget all the going to the
auto parts store advice for something free

Brake lights don't work when headlights are on. When brake is pressed turn signals go fast and when brake is pressed when headlights are on they are so dim you can't see them plus turn signals...

{: ) Looks like your lightings got haywired. Have you had vehicle repairs recently? Anyway, it seems that you have poor grounding connections for the affected lightings. Some circuits share common ground, and ground terminals are strategically distributed on the vehicle. If these grounds don't have good contact with the body, chassis, or engine ground, circuit functions are badly affected. Thats why these ground points should be inspected and kept clean and tight, maintain that good wire and terminal contacts.
We can start with G100 located at the Left Front of the Engine Compartment on the left front body mount. See diagram below:

wyet_helps_24.gif Check out also G401 which is located in the chassis harness, mounted to the left rear Body mount. This ground point is shared by the rear lamps like the brakes, reverse, and rear signal lamps.
If possible check also other ground points that you may visually come across while on your search. Be sure also that fuses are all inspected good.
I hope we get lucky in finding and fixing a certain lamp function, if not all. Goodluck.

My 1993 Trooper's reverse lights don't work. I've checked all the fuses and changed the bulbs out but this was fruitless. Please help.

I had the same Problem with my 1994 Trooper. I was smoking (painting with translucent black paint) my taillights, and when i put the back in, the reverse lights didnt work. In a seemingly unrelated problem, my gearshift indicator strip on the dash would only stay in park. The solution is that there is a sensor that measures gear shift position on the transmission, that relays the power to the reverse lights when reverse is selected. This sensor turned out to be corroded through and the wires surrounding it had corroded from the inside out. I recently got that replaced, and the problem was solved.

Check engine light is on took it to auto zone they said it was my egr valve and i replaced it and check engine light still on........ is it any other sensor that, the egr could have trigger

The check engine light will not go out on its own until usually after 20 or so starts. You need to back to Auto zone and have them hook up the analyzer again and clear the codes (they will do this for free). If the problem was your EGR valve, the light will then go out.
