Pull the resistor pack out and examine it for broken or tangled or burnt wires, or loose or corroded connector terminals.. If it looks good, youcan put an ohmmeter across the terminals to check the resistance and continuity of each wire. If any doubts, replace the cheap little piece (maybe not so cheap for fords? Then try a salvage yard.).

SOURCE: Blower motor has only low speed

You may need to get the correct resistor, as they are designed to only allow so much amperage to go through them. If it is getting very hot it is runnig to many amps through it. It will eventually blow and you will need to replace it anyway.

SOURCE: blower motor resistor

It is under the hood in the heater case (passenger side), the right side of the case near the firewall as you face the engine.

replace the relay , when a relay sticks like that , a good test is to slap it with something like the handle of a screw driver , see if it un-sticks , its not a fix , just a test . cheers'

My turns signals and Heater blower just went out completely - Cabin fuses look OK - Suspect fusible link in engine compartment fuse box

Its faulty blower motor resistor. The low and medium speed on blower motor is controlled by resistor and its actual speed is high. So because resistor is not working, blower motors actual speed which is high is working.

It can be faulty blower motor or faulty blower motor resistor. Get the blower motor inspected. If it's faulty it has to be replaced.

2001 f150 ac blower motor will only blow on high

This is a symptom of the Blower motor resistor is out on the lower settings.

Easy enough to change, and I think it is still ~ 25.00 from the dealer ( or Ford dealers that sell parts online ).

Most just lay on the passenger floor to do the work, it is facing down.

This is a picture of the blower motor resistor installed, taken from the passenger floor

It could be just the blower motor resistor itself or the resistor and pigtail

Check for battery power and ground at the blower motor connector. If power and ground are both present, replace the blower motor. If not, you will have to trace the blower circuits, including the blower motor resistor. (second most likely cause)

My blower motor only works on high fan

I suggtes check the blower motor resistor, it's located inside the on the passenger side under the glove compartment. The blower motor is the same type for all F150 from 1997 to 2003. You'll find the wire harness for the resistor and can follow it to the resistor pack and fan motor. I found it much easier to use a small mirror to see the screws and removal was pretty simple.

Hope this helps (remembert to rate this answer).

The heater/ac blower works only full on or off.

check your blower motor resistor it is respoonsible for blower motor speeds less than high, the resistor should be mounted in the bottom of the environmental station next to the blower motor, it may be burned, hope this helps, let me know

F150 1997 ford heater fan only blows on hight

Plan on finding a melted blower motor resistor. Usually when the blower goes single speed, the blower motor resistor is the cause.

You can find it on the passenger side, looking up behind the dash / Glove box area.
In this picture the passenger side kick panel ( where the inertia fuel switch is at ) is on the right hand side of the picture.

This is what it might look like when you get it out :

The blower motor only has the 1 fuse and blower motor relay on it. If it works on high, those are OK..

Parts should be less than 75.00 total from a dealer, and it is a metric socket and lay on your back on the passenger side floor repair, real easy and quick.

You might have a bad speed selector switch, or your blower motor resistor is faulty.
