Question about Dodge Ram 2500

Open Question

99 dodge ram 2500 has no power at the illumination fuse and i have no running lights or dashlights

I just installed a remote car starter and after i tested it i had a problem with all my running lights and dashlights not working, i have looked through everything and nothing appears to be hooked up wrong, i previously had it hooked up on a 94 chevy and i had no problems with it, i have no power at my illumination fuse and just to see i fed a hotwire into my switch with a 5 amp fuse on it and it worked fine for a day now it just keeps blowing that fuse

2004 DODGE RAM 2500 WON'T START. LIGHTS AND EVERYTHING ELSE COMES ON, SEEMS LIKE IGNITION IS LOCKED OUT. MY DAUGHTER WAS PLAYING WITH THE REMOTELSS ENTRY PRIOR TO THIS. NOT SURE IF IT IS RELATED.

Unles its an aftermarket alarm system, which requires a turn-off switch or just pressing the brake pedal upon starting, you shouldnt have a prob w/ a factory remote. However, it could be the starter has gone out, a coil over plug is gone. Check your fuses to see if any are blown. Good luck!

on my 2004 ram 2500, I had to depress the trip odometer button and turn on the Ignition. all lights on instrument panel will illuminate, continue to hold button in and tach/speedomenter will run full up and back down. once this has completed, the obd codes will be shown in the odometer.

Good Luck
