Question about Cars & Trucks

Open Question

My 2007 Suzuki XL7 is dead and I need to get it out of the garage but I can't put it in neutral if I can't turn it on. How do I get it in neutral so I can jump the car?

SOURCE: How can I put car in neutral if battery is dead?

What you have is a safety switch, wich is why when the car is running you need to step on the brake to release the shifter from park. the switch is electric, and therefore isn't working because your battery is dead. Now, for the good news. Next to your shifter there should be a little plug, or a slot about the size of your door lock key hole. Insert your key into the slot, press down lightly, and then you can take the car out of park. That is called your "shift lock release"
Good luck!

I have a 2007 Suzuki XL7 is it true that after disconnecting battery over a week, you have to reset computer

Usually, disconnecting the battery for more than half an hour will reset almost all computers. It will then have to go through a "re-learn" cycle. You'll use more gas until it does that and it may not run quite right.

The key remote won't open my 2007 xl7 , i changed the battery &that was not the issue, i used the key to open the drivers door. when i put the key in the ignition it won't start & key won't come out

i cant guess what battery was changed
in the FOB or in the CAR? under hood. battery?????
my wild guess is this
you turn the key to ON
and the dash does not light up, no warnings?
or you turn the key and it does that but there
is no cranking sounds from the engine... area.
what?

try a better post
I try to start my car, with the key and it will not crank
or, i try to start my car, with the key but it cranks fast but will not start
and win.

Where is 2007 xl7 suzuki starter located?

which engine? J20, H25, H27. (all 3 same)
see that battery cable, see the plus cable, it goes to the starter.
the starter engages the flywheel, so is there, near the flywheel ring gear. and will be on the left or right side of all engines.
the V6 is right
frame 28
http://www.fixkick.com/engine/2.5L%202004%20Tracker/25L-2004-engine.pdf
as are, j20 and G16 are same. place.

right side means, sitting in drivers seat, right is right.

is it dead, ?
or want to do tests and cant find it?
