SOURCE: I HAVE PATHFINDER POOR RPM , DTC P0089, P1275,

the p0089 is a bad fuel pressure regulator, the p1275 is a problem with the fuel and air metering. With a faulty pressure regulator you're either getting too little or too much fuel to your fuel injection system. The p1275 is a result of the computer trying to adjust the fuel trim which is outside of it's normal operating range. Replace your pressure regulator they are about $70 for this model

SOURCE: I HAVE PATHFINDER POOR RPM , DTC P0089, P1275,

DTC P0089 - Fuel Pressure Regulator 1 Performance
The fault code relates to the fuel pressure sensor, it is either detecting low pressure, or is faulty.

It is most likely low pressure, either caused by an injector excessively leaking back through the leak off system or the pump is not pumping hard enough. Start by getting a leak back test done on the injectors, and also a rail pressure test, if both come back as ok, then it is most likely the sensor that is faulty.

This may help you to trace fault: DTC P0089

DTC P1275 - Acceleration Position Sensor 1 Circuit Malfunction
The acceleration position (AP) sensor circuit provides a voltage signal relative to acceleration pedal angle. The acceleration pedal angle (AP1) will vary about 13% at idle position to about 87% at wide open throttle (WOT). This code detects a continuous short to ground or high in either the circuit or the sensor.

Conditions for setting the DTC:
* The Ignition is "ON".
* The acceleration pedal angle is less than 2.5% or more than 97% for 12 counts within 500 test samples (15.6 m sec ).

Action Taken When the DTC Sets:
* The PCM will store condition which were present when the DTC was set as Freeze Frame and in the Failure Records data.

Conditions for Clearing the MIL/DTC:
* The PCM will turn the MIL "OFF" on the third consecutive trip cycle during which the diagnostic has been run and the fault condition is no longer present.
* A history DTC P1275 will clear after 40 consecutive trip cycle during which the warm up cycles have occurred without a fault.
* DTC P1275 can be cleared using the Tech 2 "Clear Info" function or by disconnecting the PCM battery feed.

Diagnostic Aids
An intermittent may be caused by the following:
* Poor connections.
* Mis routed harness.
* Rubbed through wire insulation.
* Broken wire inside the insulation.

Check for the following conditions:
* Poor connection at PCM-Inspect harness connectors for backed out terminals, improper mating, broken locks, improperly formed or damaged terminals, and poor terminal to wire connection.
* Damaged harness-Inspect the wiring harness for damage. If the harness appears to be OK, observe the APP sensor 1 display on the Tech 2 while moving connectors and wiring harnesses related to the sensor.

A change in the display will indicate the location of the fault. If DTC P1275 cannot be duplicated, the information included in the Failure Records data can be useful in determined vehicle mileage since the DTC was last set.

If it is determined that the DTC occurs intermittently, performing the DTC P1275 Diagnostic Chart may isolate the cause of the fault.

I would need to know what year model this is, engine capacity and engine code to confirm but generally on the x-trails that fault code refers to a mechanical fault on the fuel pressure regulator. This is for the YD22DDTi engine.

Service engine light on showing code p0089

Diagnostic trouble code P0089 - The ECM commands the Bosch high-pressure fuel pump to deliver a specific fuel rail pressure - that can vary up to 23,000 psi depending on load and speed. The actual pressure is monitored via the fuel rail pressure sensor. If the fuel rail pressure varies more than desired or if commanded fuel pump flow is 100mm3/second or less, DTC P0089 will set.

Corrective action includes measuring the fuel rail pressure using a Tech II scan tool, then compare that to commanded fuel rail pressure with the engine running at 2000 rpm. The difference must be less than 20 Mpa.

A blockage in the fuel tank or plugged fuel filter could cause this fault (excessive vacuum in fuel line). If there is less than 5 in Hg of vacuum when measured at the fuel pressure test port at 3000 rpm, the fuel pressure regulator could be defective, and may need to be replaced. The fuel pressure regulator (FPR) is a sub assembly located on the Bosch high-pressure fuel pump.

Cdi or crdi

Hi

If your vehicle is a diesel, then CDi is normal pressure fed direct injection, and CRDi is Common Rail Direct Injection which uses electronic injectors if I am not mistaken.
