Whenever I use the break, the back portion of the car doesn't stop smoothly. It feels like the car is being lifted from its body then it settles down.

Hi Jatil,
Have you thought that the brakes are working correctly but possibly your Shock absorbers are weak? From your brief description I assume the following, When the vehicle raises as you say? it means the brakes are working efficiently on the front of the vehicle as the Brakes on the rear need to be slightly less powerful or you'll be swerving and losing tail end.
If you are still unsure? take it to a Competant Engineer who has brake testing equipment to put your mind at rest.
Hope this FixYa's problem.

How do I remove rear seat in 99 escort 4 dr

There is usually two ways they have seats in. Press down hard on a rear corner of lower portion (part you sit on) of seat and look and feel for a bolt at rear of seat. Would be one on each side. The other way (if no bolts) is you have to get in car and use your knee and push back hard on lower part of seat while lifting front edge. There is a portion of seat frame that hooks in under front edge of seat and you must push in hard to get it to back away from tab in floor that it is hooked into. Push in and lift up on both sides and it should pop out. Have seen some cars that have small push / pull tab at front edge of lower portion - but that is usually on Asian cars.

Why does my 2006 Pontiac Montana feel like it kicks at 20-40 mph? - insert more words for faster question answering-

sounds like a bad motor or transmission mount try to step on the gas hard and release it quickly while in park do you feel the same thing if you do a motor mount is no good you'll see the engine twisting or raising up on one side the reason why I think its happening at slow speed is the transmission shifts gears and this lets the motor settle back down if not try with no body behind you quick acceleration then wait 5 seconds and hard stop when the car is stopped and you feel a bang from underneath the transmission mount is no good

Getting seats out of xt 1968

I believe the bottom cushion is held in with a hook that is attached to the floor. There is a finesse to this but in short, you push the lower part of the seat cushion frame (metal under the fabric) towards the back of the car. You will feel it slide back maybe an inch or 2. After you get it to slide backwards, with the backward pressure still applied, you can lift the seat upwards. You will have to do this on both sides of the car as there are 2 hooks. Once both are unhooked, you can lift the cushion upwards and slide it out. The upright part is held in with 2 bolts (that also hold the rear seatbelts on the left and right sides). Remove both bolts and the lift the cushion upwards from the center evenly (toward the roof). The upper portion of the seat will unhook from the body as well. Unfortunately, the exact location of these hooks is difficult to find until you pop the cushions and see them. Good luck !

Everytime i stop it feels like something isgrinding in the front

Have your brakes checked. Hyundai has a habit of grinding up not just the fronts, but also the rear brakes prematurely.

Otherwise, look under your vehicle and make sure you aren't in fact, dragging a plastic piece from your under body.

Good luck!

My car sputters/stalls whenever I am at the 1/4 level remaining in gas..as if I am out of gas..once I fill up the car runs normal What could be the problem and how do I get the situation corrected?

It seems your car's gas tank needs cleaning. Debris, dirt, or water (moister) will settle at the bottom of the tank and as the car bounces along it lifts up the debris from the bottom . The tank will have to be drained and cleaned. The fuel filter replaced, and the screen on the fuel pump cleaned or replaced. The cause of this is that sometimes people run their cars near empty . When you fill up the car. cleaner fuel will make the car run smooth for a while until it gets to the debris all over again.
