This problem is known to Ford and the Transportation Safety Board (TSB). You might check with both to find out whether a recall has been issued or is planned

if you have rear disc brakes all you have to do is take the two bolts off and lift the caliper off and pull the pads out but now if you have drums there is a rubber boot behind the whole drum assembly take it out use a screw driver or a brake tool to back off the tension of the shoes

At a stop the jeep want to shift or lunge forward

If it is dropping out of gear and back in at stops, this could just be low fluid. If the fluid is good, look at cleaning the inside of the throttle body, to include the back of the throttle valve. Build up clings here and air restriction can cause the IAC motor to do funny things.

My 2002 Ford Focus brake lights stay on in drive, cruise control doesnt work and the hatch button in car doesnt work. I noticed the middle rear brake light is also out.

If you brake lights stay on and the cruise control doesn't work then I would be looking at the brake light switch at the top of the brake pedal as if there is power passing through it then it cuts out the cruise control. The same as if you put your foot on the brake cuts out the cruise control. The hatch button will be another problem like a fuse or broken cable or failed latch solenoid. As to the rear middle brake light try checking the bulb first.

Car loses power when fan comes on

Yes it is the alternator that needs to be checked as it is almost certainly not charging correctly.
If the car has a high mileage the brushes in the alternator will be badly worn and the voltage regulator would also need to be replaced. Often people will just replace the entire alternator unit rather than disassemble the alternator and replace parts.

2003 galant surging while foot is on brake

It could also be a problem in the power brake booster valve too (It could be many different things, however tranny fluid is not on my list).. Is the tachometer surging or dropping as well more than 200-300 rpm? How many miles are on the car and or the tranny fluid?
