Question about Mitsubishi Mighty Max

1 Answer

I have a big problem with my car, I have put it into the local mechanics eight time so far since the problem began they can't find the solution. It has got a miss in it, the mechanics have put it on a machine to try see what the problem is but its saying there isn't a problem. When I turn the aircon on the car won't go.

DID YOU KEEP EYE ON OIL LEVEL.REBUILD ENGINE WILL USE UNTIL RINGS BREAK IN. YOU NEED TO DO A OIL AND FILTER CHANGE AFTER 500 MILES. YOU NEED TO DRIVE ENGINE ACCELERATE LIGHTLY AVOID FAST QUICK ACCELERATION IF YOU DROVE ENGINE HARD DURING BREAKIN PROCECC THE CLATTERING NOISE COULD BE BROKE PISTON RINGS.CHECK ENGINE OIL LEVEL AND COOLANT SYSTEM MAKE SURE ENGINE NOT OVERHEATING OR IGNITION TIMING OFF.LET PRO MECHANIC CHECK IT OUT.

Why is the accelerator so hard to depress? Mt leg gets fatigued if I drive it too far!

Depending on your car or truck. Older ones some times need a little oil on the cable. Also it could just be a tight spring. on the intake.

Low heat from vents

had the same problem with my 03 Jeep Overland --- the problem is the ' heat vent solinoids 'and when one goes the other is not far behind,, this is a big problem with Jeeps new heating system and to make matters worse - to replace them is a big pain and the dealer wants BIG money to do the replacement. My Jeep is down in Washington state and I am up in Alaska and my friend had to get this fixed without me being there and she found a Jeep mechanic that knew a few tricks to make this job easier and the whole thing cost only 150 dollars instead of the 1,200 that the dealer wanted ---- if you have a mechanic in your area that you know and trust and would like to have do the work -- I can get you the phone number of the mechanic in Washington and they can talk and share this ' trick of the trade ' ( or if you are mechanically inclined and want to take this fix on yourself - I am sure he can walk you thru the steps ) + give the info to where he bought the parts at such a reasonable price.
just let me know -- you can e-mail me directly at ' snowghost1@yahoo.com ',, the earliest time that I can get that number is around 6pm PST 1/21/11.
again -- the part that is broken is called the ' heat vent solinoid ' - so if you want to call around to some local Jeep mechanics to see what they charge for their replacement AND just for fun,, call the dealer and ask them - ( they are crazy !!! ).
have a great night,

you can get brighter and better bulbs for it without more watts silver star brand or the brite blue ones. the boxes the bulbs come in tell you how far ahead and to the side they shine. some of the good bulbs are like 30 to 49 dollars a piece. i put brighter bulbs in my jeep and they make a big difference. hope this helps. if you have questions ask your parts man at the counter which ones would be the best for you.

Car stalls when put in 'drive'

Check your air horn (big rubber boot) to the throttle body. It may have a crack on the underside and when you put it in drive and the engine torques to that side the crack opens and causes it to die.
