Sluggish acceleration on my 2003 520

I'm experiancing sluggish accleration on my 2003 520 and no warning indications are showing. I checked the oil level and air filters but with no help. The problem comes and goes by itself but things are getting worse. What is the most probable failure.

I will check the filter as you recommended and come back to you. I agree, poor gasoline specs may also be a probable cause and I'll try other gas stations. Appreciate your quick response.

Kia carens oil light staying on engine sluggish

Hi John, The oil pressure warning light is indicating pressure not level. You say the warning light is on at all times and the engine is losing power? I believe you should have a compression test carried out on the vehicle. It seems highly possible there has been severe damage to the engine. Is the engine emitting any strange sounds? How long has the oil light been on? How often do you service the vehicle by replacing all filters and engine oil? What engine oil do you use? Regards John

My oil indicator symbol is lit but my oil level is OK,but it felt sluggish as well 2003 BMW 325i I have also had the oil can 'orange' symbol come on for about 6 seconds on a number of occasions recently

Hi dennis,

It sounds like you have a malfunctioning oil level sensor. Even with the oil level correct, if the oil warning indicator comes on after starting, the sensor is reading incorrectly. I would recommend replacing the sensor with your next oil service. As far as the sluggishness, the sensor operation will not affect that. I suspect that is a different issue.

No oil but no warning night came on

check to make sure your oil cap is on and make sure your oil filter is on. let it sit in a driveway or parking spot put oil in it and let it run for a while look underneath to see if there are oil spills, then contact your local mechanic.

1991 Toyota Corolla loud and sluggish

You need to do a compression test on the engine cylinders. It appears one of the cylinders is not firing and dragging the rest of the engine down in power. The compression test will show if one of the cylinders has a problem.
