The problem as reported by many others on the internet appears to be with the DRL relay located under the hood. If you can find it (check the owner's manual), then it might be a matter of taking it out and resoldering the connectors in the base. Some people suggest taking the relay out and using the normal lights - depending on what the road rules require.

Finally, you may want to buy a new relay.

My 2007 Honda CRV, only DRL lights working suddenly. Pull in stalk and high beams will come on until you release it. No low or no high beams in normal operating modes on switch.

Look for a blown fuse or a head light relay under the hood that isn't operating. If the fuses are good and the relay checks good, then the switch itself has gone bad.

I think that they are located on the firewall. They look like little square blocks. They are usually black and about an inch square. there should be 2 side by side in front of the drivers compartment..

Honda crv 2003 brake light fuse

For a 2003 Honda CRV, disconnect the horn fuse (#7), located in the under hood fuse box. This will also kill the rear lights. My underhood fuse box did not match glvenu's pic above, didn't have the 2 fuses circled together. The #7 fuse in my CR-V is located below the single fuse circled in the pic above.

Dash light DRL stays on

Bad solders in DRL relay located left side of steering column below change drawer behind dash. It will be indicated with a stamp DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHT RELAY. Remove it and redo the solders to the relay contacts in the unit. This will fix the DRL light in dash, return the DRL system to functioning and will also fix headlight not working problem.
