Please watch the helpful YouTube video. The way the coil is triggered makes not diffenrece to the coil, points or computer controlled, makes no diff to the coil operation.

SOURCE: I have a 96 ford mustang 3.8 v-6. what is the fuel

fords fuel pumps are mesured in LPH (litres per hour) rather than pressure. I believe your pump should be rated for 155LPH. It is very common to upgrade these fuel pumps to something higher volume when they fail or to accommodate higher horsepower mods.

SOURCE: 1973 Ford Mustang Coil Hook-up

The wire that comes from your distributor hooks up to the Negative side of the coil. The other wire should be a switched positive that hooks up to the Positive side of the coil. It should be hot only when the key is ON or Start.

You either have a bad coil pack or low compression in the cylinder. Do a compression test to verify.
