Question about 1996 Chevrolet K1500
I'm having an intermitten brake light problem and I'm trying to physically locate the brake switch so that I can place a meter on it to see if it the source of my problem
If you start at the brake pedal pad itself (the part you put your foot on) and follow it up under the dash you will find switches that contact the pedal arm when it is in its resting position and barely or not contacting when the pedal is pressed down, two if you have cruise control one if you don't the one with the vacuum line is for the cruise and the other is for the brake lights it usually has two wires plugged into it. one should be white and the other should be orange
hope this helps....thanks for choosing FIX YA!
