Are you using the original key that came with the car? The chip in that key may have gone bad. Try using the spare key that should have come with the purchase of the car. You may also be having battery issues. If all else fails....call the people who really know how to rape you...DUM Dum dummmmm....the dealer

Its a pain but under your car are about 6 8mm bolts that you have to take off to get the filter out also you will have to take your driver front tire off to get the last few bolts to gain access to the air box there are 3 screws on the box that comes off and you can pull out the filter and put new one in and do the reverse.

If I remember right there is one in the fuse box and one hanging in the wiring under the steering column. Sorry can't remember which on is for turn or flasher. let me know.
