99' Tahoe having trouble shifting and I'm getting a whine out the passenger side

If it's hesitant or sluggish to shift, and or its whining, it is more than likely just low on transmission fluid. (First, make sure the vehicle is on level ground.) Be sure to check the fluid level while the vehicle is running and also make sure it is sufficiently warmed up to normal operating temperature. If it's low, there's your problem. If that doesn't fix it, then you may want to change the transmission fluid and/or the transmission filter. You'll have to completely drain the transmission before removing and changing the filter. So I'd highly recommend that you go ahead refill it with new transmission fluid. Make certain you have the proper type of fluid. I fairly certain it uses Dexron III, but I'm not positive. Look in your manual under "Capacities and Specifications" for the exact requirements of your specific vehicle. All GM vehicles used to use the same type of transmission fluid.
I really hope this helps, and more importantly, I hope it takes care of the problem...

How to check transmission fluid 2010 lexus rx350 fwd

to check transmission fluid in a 2011 lexus rx 350 fwd there is no dipstick, but the transmission is not sealed as the dealer will tell you, thats a gimic for you to bring youre car to a dealership!
simply remove the drain plug from the transmission on the main bottom, the fluid will not come out, there's another fluid retaining plug above that!
next the fluid add hole is on the side of the transmission behind the driver side wheel towards top of transmission!
you simply add fluid whether you pump it in or snake a rubber hose off of a funnel, when the fluid is full it will come by the bypass plug and leak out the drain hole, at this point that's the correct amount of fluid!
simply re install the drain plug and the fluid add plug and you're done!
cost me $100 at a transmission shop to find this out yesterday

How do i change the transmission fluid and transmission filter in a 2004 lexus es 330

You need to remove the transmission pan to both drain the fluid and replace the filter...the filter kit should also come with a replacement gasket...you will need to check the operators manual or call the dealer to see how much trans fluid you will need to replace

Can't find where transmission fluid goes in 1999 Lexus RX 300

there is no cap, to add transmission fluid you must pour it through the dipstick pipe. Transmission fluid should not decrease in leavel unless you have a leak. I would have it checked if you are losing trans fluid!!

ATF for 1994 Lexus GS 300

I know from experience that you should only use manufacturer recommended fluids in your transmission, Especially toyota, they are very peculiar about the fluids you use in them. Although the fluid you put in it may not cause any harm, it is always best to use the fluids recommended.

Transmission!

Transmission problems in the RX300 are common for those who never flush the transmission fluid. I would strongly urge you to quit driving your RX300 and get it to a dealership where they can flush the transmission fluid. There is no transmission fluid filter (per say) but there is a "screen" inside the transmission that needs to be flushed out (this serves as the filter). Pull out your dipstick for the transmission and smell the transmission fluid - does it smell burned? I hope not, but regardless, take it to a dealership and get the tranny flushed and see if that makes a difference. Also, continue to flush the transmission every 60,000 miles at most! Lexus says that you do not need to flush the transmission, but I think you do. I have a 2001 Lexus RX300 and I have had no problems with the tranny and I've flushed it at 60,000 miles and then again at 115,000 miles. I now have just a little over 120,000 on it. It's a good running vehicle but you need to care for it!

How or where do I check auto. trans. fluid ? 99 Jetta

the automatic transmission fluid must be checked by a VW dealer. there is no dipstick. the transmission fluid must be moitored b y a scan tool at a certain temp. If the incorrect fluid is added, transmission failure may occur. Recommend a good VW dealer for this issue.

I need to change transmission fluid.

so? what is your problem then? if you want to know what type of fluid you are getting to put, pull out the trans dipstick, clean it, and on the bottom part of the stick you will find the type of trans fluid you have to use.
