SOURCE: heater does not work on my 2005 chevy impala ls

If you car is coming to temp but you get nothing from the heater the first place to look is the coolant valve for the heater core. It is sometimes called a mixing control. See if the control is jammed or your control cable is frozen or disconnected from this valve.

The valve should be somewhere near the cooling lines leading into the heater core. I am sorry, but they may be under the dashboard as well.

Good luck and be careful.

It is out under your hood on the heater box. It will have two or three wires going to it. It should be close to the firewall near the engine.

My 2000 chevy impala heater fan control doesen't work at all. everthing works, except when you turn the control on any setting the blower motor won't come on/? no blowen fuse.

the resistor to the blower motor is bad or the motor itself, the resistor should be right next to the blower fan a heavy gauge wire plugs into it, or it might even just be the wire, it is common for them to melt

The blower motor does not turn off even with the ignition off on my 2005 chevy impala. I have tried pulling all the fuses and it still is running.

If you can take the key out and the fan still blows air then that is a serious problem. the only way that can happen is if a relay or switch melted and stuck on or some wires in the wiring harness melted together. If disconnecting the battery is the only way to get it to stop, I would get a wiring diagram for that vehicle and start tracing out the heater wires.

No heat or air blowing on my 2005 Chevy Impala

As new as your vehicle is I doubt the motor is bad. I would suggest that you change the blower motor resistor first. They are relatively inexpensive and usually the problem on newer cars.
