Question about Peugeot 307

Open Question

307 main beam stays on all the time. The only way to get them off is to remove the fuses. Where do I start?

The main beam stays on with the lights switched off, keys removed. The only way to stop the battery draining was to remove the fuses.

SOURCE: Low Beams Stay On

Also, the daytime driving lights are controlled by relay. It's possible the relay may have melted down inside and is shorted, remaining on even when primary ignition power is off. The relay runs about $15.00 to $20.00 USD and might be worth a shot to replace. Likely you can get one at a recycling yard for a dollar or two.

I would say your light switch is either dirty or bad.

It could be the switch. But first pull the DRL (day time running lights) relay or fuse from the fuse panel. Check the lights again. If it still does it, replace the switch. If it works right, then you need to have the BCM (body control module) scanned to see what's wrong.

Low beam headlight stays on permantly

Could be that the low beam relay is stuck. If you can locate the relay usually in a fuse box in engine compartment ,remove it and see if lights go out.

1 of my maine beam light stays on .even when car is off

Open the fuse box then Remove the relays labeled "26" and "27." These are the high-beam relays. Replace them with new 10A relays and place the cover back onto the fuse box. Close the hood. If the problem persists, then the issue is with the headlight switch.

2005 Dodge caravan. The Headlights are not staying on. When we turn the switch, sometimes they come on, sometimes they do not. It's getting worse.

Hello, on the van you have a high beam fuse and relay. On the low beam you also have a fuse and relay. Check the fuse/relay panel for a blown fuse controlling the low beam lights. If you do not find a blown fuse have some one to turn the key on and turn on the high beam lights. During this time locate the low beam headlight relay and place your finger on top of relay, have the other person to switch from high beam to low beam lights. You should feel a click in the relay when they make the switch from high to low beam. If not replace the relay and the problem should go away. Hope this will help you.

Thanks

I have no high beam headlights just low beam with 12 volts and low beam with 8 volts and the high beam light stays on in the dash all the time

Check Hi beam bulbs they may both be burnt out, and check both fuse boxes. Headlights are offen on separate fuses Left/right so you don't end up with no lights at all

1990 Volvo 240DL the low beam lights will not come on.

Your car has a main relay for the low beam that can stick and will soon go all together. It is in your fuse box. While the light is out (on but out) tap on the relay after you identify which one it is and see what happens. If it comes on change it. Good luck
