Try locking and unlocking the doors with the key fob to see if it corrects the problem. You can also try using the key and locking and unlocking the drivers door only

My 2003 Toyota Corolla is making clicking noise when I turn the ignition on. I this a sign the starter or alternator is going out?

If you are turning the key to the start position and then getting a clicking noise most likely it is your starter solenoid. If the key is just in the on position or what we call run position it is likely some other devise or lose connection

Truck wont start

You have to relearn the ignition , start with key in off position .
then turn to run position not start position for ten minutes ,
then turn to off position and repeat at least two more times the shut off key and attempt to start , also hook a battery charger or maintainer to battery to avoid killing battery ,if this works please leave a message about it thank you

Turn key and just a loud click starter not turning but I noticed when key is in start position all power seems to go out dash lights radieo dome everything goes out until key is returned to run pos.

Everything is supposed to go off in the start position. You would have power to the engine computer and other components to start.
If the engine is not locked up, it could be the starter or a bad connection with one of the battery cables.

try this.. disconnect the vehicle battery entirely, connect a 10 amp battery charger to the car connectors matching the terminal leads..and power the car with the charger..you should hear a hum or buzz in whichever relay or circuit breaker is bad.. replace this relay and the lights and stuff should work..the charger will not direct-short but the guage may go full over indicating a malfunction..or extreme load.. maybe a window switch might be fried..you should be able to hear any issues as long as power is coming from the charger only...repost findings..

Won't start. key works in aux position but not when turned all the way

If you have power in aux position(ex.)radio works but doesn't when you put the key in the start position, the ignition switch is bad,the contacts are warn out for starting/cranking&run positions, these are used everytime you start your car,but auxillary is ony used once in awhile(ex.)your sitting listening to music while waiting for someone to come, but if you do have radio in the run position, but no cranking/starting you could have a blown resistor on fire wall or fuse for ignition,or the starter has called it quits, good luck I don't know if the starter is clicking rapid or just one click or just no power not cranking or cranking a better description of everything that happens will make this alot easier

Hi

The ETS limp home valve may be on. Clean the throttle body and intake runners with intake cleaner with engine running. Then do a ETS initialization as follows:

ETS INITIALIZATION PRCEDURE:
Turn the ignition key to the ON position (for less than one second) and quickly turn the ignition key back to the OFF position.
Wait 10 seconds in off position. The ETS Module performs the INITIALIZATION process and at completion you will hear a click from under dash. Turn the key on for 1 second then start the vehicle.

Hope this helps - Steve
