SOURCE: 1993 Camry Check Engine Light

Therre is no DTC code "5". The DTCs start at 12. If the knock sensor (there are actually 2) was bad, you would have an acceleration issue. The knock sensor changes the timing of the spark to eliminate detonation, or "pinging". Do you have a "Ping" condition/valve rattle on acceleration?
To reset the light, open the hood, remove the 15 amp EFI fuse for 5 minutes. Replace it, and start the car and drive it until it reaches operating temperature. If the light comes back on instantly, you have a bad sensor or a bad wire.

SOURCE: No trailer right turn signal or brake light

Hey Boon,

The pinouts for a 7-way plug are as follows:
Seven wire Trailer plugs:

Horse, stock or utility trailers:

White = Ground - 1
Blue = Electric Brakes - 2
Brown = Tail and clearance lights - 3
Black = Battery, aux power - 4
Yellow = Left turn/Brake - 5
Green = Right turn Brake - 6
Orange or Purple (not both) = Auxilliary or Reverse - 7

Recreational Vehicle:
White = Ground - 1
Blue = Electric Brakes - 2
Green = Tail and clearance lights - 3
Black = Battery, aux power - 4
Red = Left turn/Brake - 5
Brown = Right turn Brake - 6
Yellow = Auxilliary or Reverse - 7

In both cases 4 is battery and 7 is reverse, aux or not used.

Double check your wiring using these lists as a reference.

This should get us closer to the answer.

SOURCE: Need help replacing fusible link connector

It doesn't matter because they all carry +12V to the respective circuits. What does matter is which fusible link goes to which circuit (assuming they are different) but if you didn't cut them off, then they should still be connected to the correct circuits.

you have taken the battery off wrong it negative off the battery first, then the positive wire. taking off live wire first then butting it back on will blow a number of things even the ecu/ abs units.

I took the car off the battery then reconected the battery, now the car won't start, but all my interior lights, radio, and door locks still work. Is this a fuse??

You may need to clean the battery posts with a battery post cleaning tool. Sometimes, there will be enough of a good connection on the cables to get interior lights but not enough to turn the motor over. A good indication of this is if your interior lights dim a lot when you turn the key.

The heater blower isnt working in my honda civic. i have replaced the control panel thinking it was that, but it still does not work there seems to be a live feed to the blower unit.i took the blower unit...

Check fuses 13 and 37. Also check relay and resistor. The relay is usually in the engine compartment relay box. It should click when the blower switch is turned on. The resistor will show signs of burning if it's bad.

RESISTOR REMOVAL & INSTALLATION The blower resistor is located on the front of the blower housing.

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the glove box assembly, if required.
  3. Disconnect the resistor wire connector.
  4. Remove the resistor attaching screws.
  5. Remove the blower motor resistor.
  6. Installation is the reverse of removal.
  7. Install the glove box if it was removed and connect the negative battery cable.

I disconected the battery and now it is reconected the radio does not work

The stereo is in lock mode because it thinks it was stolen. Usually there is a combination of button presses to unlock. You can get directions from the dealer or most car audio shops, as this is a common problem when adding audio components.

Front blower motor on 2002 dodge grand caravan sport only works on high speed

it's the blower motor resistor , it's behind the glove compartment, just make sure you disconect the neg. for battery first, open the glove comp. and pull the rubber stops towars the center so you can let the glove comp. hang all the way to the floor , the resistor it's in front of you, disconect the two conectors there's one big with 6 0r 8 wires coming out and another with only two, take them out by pressing on the side of each one, remove it , put the new one on , conect the battery and your done. it's about $ 13.00 at o'riellys auto parts .

I hope this fix yor problem.

Same thing happened to me. I had no current comming to the ignition, no lights in the dash. I took out each relay and put it in again. Also i disconected all wires joining the ignition an reconected again, and any joinings comming from battery to ignition. I dont know what helped but it started anyway and runs fine.
