Question about 1986 Suzuki Samurai
Foot off the gas the engine immediately shuts off! There are so many hoses on the intake manifold I get dizzy! The factory manual shows none of them.
There are SEVERAL diagrams which would be much easier if I just made you a PDF to send to you. Email me at email@example.com with your vehicle information and remind me that you need the vacuum diagrams and I will be happy to email them to you. No there wouldn't be a cost for it. There is a size linit to post a picture on fixya and it wouldn't be detailed enough that small since there are quite a bit of them...

Save hours of searching online or wasting money on unnecessary repairs by talking to a 6YA Expert who can help you resolve this issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.

Common issue at the shop (i'm a ford technician), here is what I do to correct it.
Here is the most common cause of surges and stalls at stops and low erratic idle speed and rough idle, it is the idle speed control air-bypass valve and throttle valve (IAC for short), they get full of gunk over the miles and cause idle issues (stalls, low idle) like yours, Get a can of intake cleaner from any local parts store, not carb spray, intake cleaner, it is made by a company called CRC, remove the air intake hose to the engine, hold the idle high so the engine won't stall, then spray the can of cleaner into the intake while keeping the engine running, use at least 1/2 the can, shut down the engine and disconnect the battery for 5 minutes, then restart and complete a number of mixed driving cycles, town, freeway, stop and go etc., after a few days the problem will go away as the system will relearn to the clean intake.

The haynes book is not recommended since there are numerous mistakes and they still will not update. One of the biggest is the firing order.
The factory service manual is the only way to go.
Head bolts - 46 - 50.5 lbs (there is an order sequence for the bolts)
Intake & exhuast manifolds- 13.5 - 20 lbs
Flywheel - 41.5 - 47 lbs
Clutch cover - 13.5 - 20 lbs

It could be a spark plug, plug wire, or a coil. Sometimes thay break down intermittently. If it needs a tuneup, that would be the first thing to do.

Car 1994 Suzuki Vitara (Sidekick), 3 door, carburetor, petrol.
I need a hose diagram for the carburetor. The person who owned it before made a mess of the system so its not throttling steadily. Hoses are blocked off and I suspect hoses re routed.
Help me please!

Yeah it sounds kinda high. There is no adj except for the idle screw on the throttle, the computer does the rest, if it has one. If not, then you can adjust it some how. If carbureted, check for 2 little screws in the front, and check the choke, If throttle body, then just the idle screw, the idle should be around 1000. Hope this helps.
