Madza 3 passenger air bag on - no bad fuses, found pop can rattling under passenger seat, how to get light off

Checked fuses - no bad fuse's. no blink, just goes off at start up then back on solid. Found pop can under passenger seat.. Don't know if that has anything to do with it, but thought I would mention it. I just want the light to be off, it's annoying when I drive seeing the light on the instrument panel. How to get it turned off quick and easy...

You will need to have the computer scanned to find out whats faulty.I would think that you have a faulty air bag module somewhere.Only a scan tool can tell you which one is bad. After its replaced the light will turn off.

Both my front windows do not work, and as a side note, when there is someone in the front passenger seat, now and then the warning light goes off for the airbag.

the air bag system runs constant diagnostic checks. It then will display a code one flash two flash and so on.Most common is the battery backup code.Check fuses under the hood for air bag.For your power windows check fuses under hood. Then check your window relay to see if its working.Swap it out for a similar one.Check fuses inside vehicle also.check wire connection for power windows.

My check engine light is on. and my passenger airbag light is on even when a passenger is in the seat.

Hi, You need to check the fuse for the air bag. If the fuse is removed, or has blown for some reason, the light will come on. If you have the owners manual, that would be helpful in pointing out the fuse location. Most are on the drivers side and under the dash, or to the left on the side with a cover over them. I believe it takes a 15 amp fuse. It should be marked on the cover showing you the air bag fuse. Look it over good to see if the top of it where the silver wire runs across is burnt or has an arc on it. If you cant tell, just replace it if you are not sure. You can also free of charge, run your car to Auto-Zone and they will install there meter on the pc to check and clear the check engine light if it does not go off if the fuse is bad. Let me no what you find out.

I have a 2004 silverado 1500...the air bag light "popped"on for no apparent reason the fuse keep's popping some times the fuse work's and most of the time the fuse pop's i checked under the seat and it all...

There is a clock spring under the steering wheel that provides power to the drivers airbag when turning the wheel, those are known to go out or get a short in them. Take the vehicle to Autozone and have them pull the codes for you to see which bag or sensor is causing the light. As for blowing the fuse I am leaning towards the clock spring since it is prone to high wear from constant turning of the wheel. Hope this helps.....

Srs air bag lights on does not switch off

When the air bag light stays on it is telling you that the bag is not working. If you have checked the fuses and they are good it should be looked at by a certified tech.

2000 Honda CR-V: the SRS light has been on for about 6mths. I have taken the fuse out & it still is on. I dont have the $700 to have Honda check/fix! Help!

Your seat belt locks have tenstioner switches attached to them.If you look under the seats you will see the wires.Disconnect the wires from the plugs and clean and should put the fuse back in and try.Good luck.

1999 ford explorer ( air bag light)

Since my last post, I found a bright yellow connector under the drivers seat. I took the connector off of the end, bent it a little, and put it back on. My air bag light has stayed off. I am going to put some electrical grease on it and see what happens.
