A few days ago I discovered my front side lights and the rear running lights (the yellow ones) were not illuminating when the light switch is turned on. Please forgive the inconsistency with the terminology - I'm not sure what the proper names are but these are the extra yellow and clear lights in the light assemblies. No problem with the headlights (both high & low beam) or tail/brake/backup lights and the blinker lights come on as they should when the turn signal is engaged. My fog lamps work. I checked my fuse box - no blown fuses. Looked in my owners manual and there is not much information on how these lights are powered. I did find info on replacement bulbs but I'm finding it hard to believe they all went out (front and rear) at the same time. What steps can I take to troubleshoot this problem?

check the switch my lights did the same thing and i replaced the relay but it still did it so i replaced the switch and it fixed it
SOURCE: Low beam headlight is out, doesn't look like a fuse
Check the Headlight Switch. If your headlights come on automatically check the headlight sensor and its associated relay.

Hi Most definitely check out the headlight dimmer control switch. Isolate
the wire that comes from the headlight switch to the headlamp bulbs for low
beam and check to see if there is a short in the wire. You can find this wire
by using a test light turn on the key and get a good ground with the test light
poke the wire and see if the test light illuminates with the headlight switch
on. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v49PsrYEfx4 Thanks for contacting fixya.com
There is a daytime running light module that controls both low beams and the
daytime running lights. The low beam bulbs may be OK. The high beams will work
fine as they are not controlled through the module.
It may be possible to disable the daytime run lights by cutting the yellow wire
going into the module and then connecting it to ground. Tape off the other end.
Check this video,it will help you locate and disable the day time running
light:-
