Places to look for screws (general guide, not model specific):

1) within the door opener latch. Pop out any plastic backing plates.
2) Beneath arm rest area. Pop out the arm rest if possible and inspect. Some screws may be located under a thin rubberized matting which sits in the arm rest/ door grab handle recess.
3) Within the window switch cluster. The window switch cluster can be popped out on many models, without the need to remove the door panel.

I haven't removed a Mazda 3 door panel before, but I have removed a Ford Focus panel (Based on the same model) and the panel pretty much just all popped off.

The trick to removing panels is to pop off whatever you can, and then feel for where any tight bits may be, then look at that location carefully for screws or other types of retaining clips.

SOURCE: my mazda 3 power window

It's funny, I have the same problem; after looking around carefully, I noticed that the light of the window-switch in the problematic door (front passanger) wasn't going on when the others were, and in the master switch in the driver side, it also wasn't on.
Still gotta figure out what's wrong, though.

The power windows in your Mazda MX6 use a simple reversible DC motor controlled by rocker switches in the door panel. Troubleshooting these types of power accessories can be a daunting task considering the numbers of wires attached to the power window switches. The task can be simplified by testing at the power window motor instead of the switch. A common automotive circuit tester (available at your local auto parts store) is all that is necessary to perform the testing procedure. This job can be completed by the average home mechanic in under an hour. Check the fuses in the under-dash fuse block located near the driver side kick panel. Turn the ignition key to the run position. Attach the battery clips of the circuit tester to the vehicle's battery terminals and touch the probe end to the two metal test pins on the fuses. Replace any fuse that shows power on one side and ground on the other side. A good fuse will show power on both sides of the fuse. Some fuses will show ground on both sides, or no power or ground on either side. These fuses are powered only when the circuit is turned on by an on-board computer The power window fuse on the MX6 is a 30 amp fuse located in position #7 the under-dash fuse block.

  • Remove the door panel by using a screwdriver to remove the screws located under the door pull cup, in the door latch trim, and around the outside edge of the panel. Remove the panel by pulling it away from the door to unsnap the panel clips and sliding it up and off the door frame. Pull the plastic moisture barrier, located behind the door panel, back to access the window motor.

  • 3 Unplug the window motor located inside the door on the window regulator that the window is attached to. Turn the ignition key to the on position. Touch the probe end of the circuit tester to a pin in the wiring harness side of the connector and operate the switch while checking for power and ground. Each of the two wires in the connector should show power when the switch is moved in one direction and ground when the switch is moved in the opposite direction. If this doesn't happen, replace the switches; if it does happen, replace the motor.

Sounds like a broken wire on the drivers side . A rubber boot at the front of the door. This is where the wires break first. To check for power and ground to the parts you have to pull the switches and door panel.

take off handles using screw driver and remove screws so you can pry off door panel clip pins to access inside. Just be careful to not damage the window or the string the the window motor causes to rise and lower the window as that would cause many hours for novice mechanic to fix.

Rear door panel removal:rear door window just fell down oneday and i was told it might just be off the track. it has electric windows

    Its not off the track!!
You just lost the holders clipping your window glass piece.
    • Look for screws in door panel or around the speaker vents.
    • If you are sure that the speaker cant be removed without opening the door panel then read this below.
    • Mostly seen near areas like door lever(inside), power window switch set, bottom and each sides of the whole panel.
    • If its manual window, then look for a circle clip in between the winding window lever and the door panel. Plunge screw driver between them a make a gap then look.
    • Assure that all clips or screws which obstacles the removal of the panel.
    • Simply pull the panel from sides towards you

Hello, I'm trying to remove the driver's door panel on a 1996 1.5 323. Have removed all the clips and screws I can find. I can't get thr window control panel off and the panel seems to be stuck...

In most cases with power windows the the switch will friction fit in the door panel, Pry the top section of the switch up slightly and you should notice a metal or plastic clip that that keeps the fit tight. once this is removed you will be able to see down in to the door to locate what is holding you up. Most likely a screw for the door handle trim on the inside of the vehicle. Hope that helps you.

I want to remove passenger side rear door panel because window is down and won't stay up

    Hi,
    Hi!!

Here is a little information on how window regulator works. Also step by step instruccions on how to remove and install the window glass.

Door Glass & Regulator Power Windows
    Diagnosis & Testing
When the rear window lockout feature is enabled, the circuit is open and no voltage is supplied to the rear window switches. When the feature is not enabled, the circuit is connected to battery positive voltage. If this circuit is shorted to ground when the lockout feature is not enabled, the PWR WDO circuit breaker may cycle continuously OFF/ON until, either the lockout switch is pressed to open the circuit, or the circuit breaker is permanently damaged. All windows may be partially or totally inoperative while the fault is present.
Inspect for aftermarket devices which could affect the operation of the system. Inspect the easily accessible or visible system components for obvious damage or conditions which could cause the symptom. Faulty electrical connections or wiring may be the cause of intermittent conditions.
