SOURCE: 2000 Lincoln ls overheating

There is a hose on the side of the coolant resevoir that has a straight blade screwdriver fitting in it. Open the fitting and this will bleed the heads on the LS. Without opening this you will never get the air out of the head, trust me.

SOURCE: 2000 lincoln ls heater not working...thermostat?

- If temp guage reads normal, the lack of heat may be due to the Heater Control Valve. Located in front of the radiator. Lower passenger side. A real bugger to replace.
- The plastic cap just over the thermostat is key in re-filling the anti freeze and bleeding air.

My heater is not working correctly in my 2000 lincoln LS. it may blow a little heat when I only have the air set at midway. It's not very hot though. my engine is not running hot. I have checked the...

Follow the heater hose from the engine, and as you get closer to the firewall, you should run into it. It is in line with the hose, and should have a vacuum hose connected to it. Apply vacuum to the valve and it should move. If not, then replace the valve. If there is no vacuum when engine running and heater turned on, then check the hose for leaks or the vacuum source.

I have a lincoln ls 2000 I had the heater hose replaced n no w my heat doesn't work and my fan is running slow me or themechanic don't know what it could be do u know

Could be an air lock in your heater core. Sometimes when you change a heater/radiator hose you do not get all the air out of the system. This typically happens in the heater core. Sometimes you can cure this by parking the vehicle on a steep grade with the front towards the top. You have to leave the car there for several hours to allow the air to gravitate to the top. If that doesn't work drain down rad to bellow top heater hose, remove top heater hose and add coolant untill it comes out top heater hose fitting. Put hose on quickly and completely fill rad. It helps if you have a friend fill the rad while you get ready to put hose back on. Good luck

My 2000 lincoln ls heater is still not working after i changed the thermostat and water pump, and blowing cool air out. what can it be?

Check the 'heater control valve,' which is attached to the heater hose line under the hood. If it is malfunctioning, it will prevent hot coolant from reaching the heater core, with the result being no heat. This is a $30 part, usually not too tough to get at, although I've never changed one on a Lincoln.

sounds like the blend door is stuck at the heater/blower box. check all connections leading to the box behind the glovebox, and behind the control head.
