Question about Mitsubishi Cars & Trucks
First when i go out in the morning to take my daughter to school its cold out but not freezing or anything anyways when i try to start it the car just shuts off it takes a few times i have to put on the gas and turn the key to get it started. After the intial start of the day it runs fine and starts right up what could be wrong? Also heat is only coming through the driver vent i tried messing with all the switches to see if i could fix it but nothing has worked can anyone please help me its going to be getting cold soon and i need to keep my kids warm
The first problem is your idle air control vavle it is located on the thottle body . the idle air control vavles job is to have the engine run a little high to warm the engine ,and then shut off once engine warm. . the other is a your blend door is stuck open or close. you may have something stuck in it. the bend door motor is located in the heater box in the dash

SOURCE: Key stuck in ignition
Under the steering column is an access plug. Remove the plug and insert a small shaft driver into the hole and push up gently, the key will release.

could be that the electronic throttle could be icing up. just remove the air cleaner and have someone cycle the key. the throttlebody will cycle prior to starting to do a self check. chrysler has a tsb out for this concern. tsb # 14-002-05

Testimonial: "Thank you for the quick reply. This was one of my first thoughts along with possibility of a blocked fuel filter, fuel pump, or plugs/coil connectors."
