Hello, yes the check valve is in the fuel pump assembly. The check valve is leaking and the pump will burn out soon. Unfortunately the aftermarket fuel pumps can be very unreliable. A good portion of problems we see on this site are from people who replace the pump sometimes twice and it still doesn't work.

replace your MAP sensor(manifold absolute pressure) the map sensor is the computer for your fuel pressure regulator telling how much pressure. Unless your tahoe runs like **** going up hill than it inevitably your fuel pump

This sounds like a fuel problem.
Some one may have have filled up with petrol. If so you will have to drain the feul tank and change your feul filter.
If only diesel has been put into the tank then carry on as follows until you solve the problem.
Change your fuel filter and air cleaner for a start.
Check your timing.
If you still have the problem, then have your injectors cleaned and reset.
If the problem is still there then you will have to have the fuel pump reconditioned.
You can also check your leak off pipes between the injectors to see if they are in good condition.
I trust this will help you.

dunno about your 95 f150 but mine has now maf sensor it has the speed density set up so you would have to check the air charge sensor and the map (manifold absolute pressure sensor make sure one or both is not bad these to together work like a maf sensor. and of course cause the same symptoms. hope it helps
