Question about Cars & Trucks
The red light indicates that you are having a problem with your SRS systems. Could be something as simple as a loose or coroded connection. Either way you should take it to the appropriate dealer and have them inspect it for you.

SOURCE: air bag light
there is a wire that is attached via your seatbelt latch that runs under the seat.
It will make a "DING" sound when the seatbelt is unlatched and the the door is open.
Find the wire and pull it out then complete the circuit by wrapping the 2 wires together and maybe throw a little tape on em!
Or you could just pull the fuse for that sensor. haha

SOURCE: Air bag off
Your car has second generation airbags and it monitors weight in the passenger seat. If a child sits in the seat the computer looks at the weight and turns off the airbag so not to deploy in a crash. If you put anything in the seat like a purse or briefcase the computer will think its a baby and turn off the airbag.

Had the same problem, found the wire disconnected under the driver seat (there is a yellow plug and with one red wire, which is fine, and one green wire, which is broken. Fixed the wire, light went off.
