I have a 97 nissan terrano and the heater blows basiclly no heat, fan works fine, where is the problem? have been told pollen filter, flush radiator and possible heater coil?

Nissian has what is called a heater control valve . It is located under the hood in the heater hose going to the Heater core ( not coil ) this vavle controls the flow of coolant going into car it can be plugged or dissconnected . Start by having this checked before any thing else .

My heater quit but the fan still works fine

could be a clogged heater core or bad selecter door in dash. Some vehicles and I think the explorer has a vaccum or electrically activated valve to aloww hot water to flow to the heater core. In that case I would check for the vavle near the firewall on the passenger side and look for disconected vaccum hoses or wires.

Heater works sometimes no leaks engine temp normal

Considering that your vehicle is only 7 years old we can rule out any clogging in the heater core. I would suggest having the heater control vavle which cuts into your heater hose in the engine compartment check or replaced. This controls the volume of coolant flowing through the heater core. Thank you, Dana

2000 bonneville heater core ploblem

My heater quit working at one time on my 2000 bville and it turned out to be a sticky water valve under the dash. I pulled off the panels under the dash and tapped the vavle with a hammer and haven't had problems since..... Good luck!

Heater dont blow hot air

You may have a plugged heater core .. feel both hoses going to the heater core .. if they are not "hot" .. that is the problem.
