I have coil issues on my 98 4runner. Its a 4 cyl. engine so i have only 2 coils. I bought a pack but both came labeled as 1-4 coil pack. My question is are they interchangeable? can i use one of them for...

Yes, they are interchangeable, as long as both will plug into the coil pack assembly, they should be fine. Coil issues? If you still have issue after new coils, check the ignition control module- igniter. The igniter is what controls the coil circuit when the pcm /ecu signals for a spark.

Where are spark plugs on cadillac catera

On top of the motor, three per side, underneath the ignition coil packs and the fuel rails. It takes several hours to change the plugs, with the driver's side being the more difficult.

Ignition coil installation

It doesn't have a coil. It has a bank of 3 coils with direct contact to the plugs.
Remove the cover on each side which is on top of the valve covers. This will expose the coil packs.

It's an easy fix. Remove the covers over the valve covers and you will see the coil packs (1 pacck of 3 over each head).
They mauy be pricey from the dealer. Try ebay.
