SOURCE: im replacing timing belt, accessory belts and water pump on my hyundai elantra gls 1997 sta wgn auto transmission. (1)Where is bolt to drain engine block coolant?(2)After removing front engine mountin

(1) No need to know if engine block coolant drain plug was available. Once the water pump was removed, all engine block coolant was drained. (2) After removing the three engine mounting bracket bolts, I also removed the mount bracket from the the body and made enough room to replace the timing belt easier.

SOURCE: where the oil pump in a 75 ford maverick is

Removal & Installation

  1. Remove the oil pan.
  2. Remove the oil pump inlet tube and screen assembly.
  3. Remove the oil pump attaching bolts. Lower the oil pump, gasket, and intermediate driveshaft from the crankcase.
  4. To install, prime the oil pump by filling either the inlet or outlet port with engine oil. Rotate the pump shaft to distribute the oil within the pump body.

  1. Position the intermediate driveshaft into the distributor socket. With the shaft firmly seated in the socket, the stop on the shaft should contact the roof of the crankcase. Remove the shaft and position the stop as necessary.
  2. Insert the intermediate driveshaft into the oil pump. Using a new gasket, install the pump and shaft as an assembly. Do not attempt to force the pump into position if it will not seat readily. If necessary, rotate the intermediate driveshaft hex into a new position so that it will mesh with the distributor shaft.
  3. Torque the oil pump attaching bolts to 10–15 ft. lbs. on the 6-cylinder engines, and 22–32 ft. lbs. on the 302 V8.
  4. Clean and install the inlet tube and screen assembly.
  5. Install the oil pan

Where is the location of the starter in a 1997 ford expedition. i just dont wanna waste a lot of time looking for it.

Hi!!
Look where the engine block mates the transmission, same side as the battery. Follow the (+) cable from the battery to the starter. On your vehicle it is on the Right (passenger) side. It is held by 2 bolts. Here are some diagrams of the location of the starter and the retaining bolts. Don't forget to rate this post!!

When driving my ford maverick 1997 then slowing down i get a rustling sound coming from the gear box especially when engine braking what could this be

Check the tranny fluid level, and stop engine braking.
While I normally like to do it as well, if you suspect a problem, it is not worth it to let it get worse.
Since trucks have lower gear ratios, it is possible to put on too much stress with engine braking.

My husband just needs to know where is the location of the starter relay on our '97 chevy Blazer 4.3 engine, 4x4? Is it near the passenger side or the drivers side?

When you go to start the engine you are actually sending power from the ignition switch through a 20 amp fuse [crank fuse] then through the Park/Nuetral safety start switch and finally to the starter relay [located at the center rear of the engine compartment] This relay then sends a more powerful current flow down to the starter solenoid located on top of the the starter which then closes and allows full battery voltage from the large battery cable to energize and spin the starter. I don't think I've ever had to replace a starter relay on these but have replaced a large number of starters with bad solenoids and bad Park/nuetral switches. The "crank" fuse could also be bad but that is also pretty rare.

I need to find where the starter is located on a 1997 chevrolet k1500 4X4

Should be located on the bottom of the engine on the passenger side. If you do not see it, follow the red wire from the battery, should take you to it. Hope this helps, let me know.

Relay

There are 2 relays or solenoids as they called on a starter, one is on the inside of the fender under the hood, follow the positive battery cable, the other is on the starter, both do the same thing, later years only have the one solenoid on the starter.
