We have a Atlas Cop co screw air compressor. This is tripping again and again due to oil injection pressure low

Hi. there are many issues that can cause this type of situation. the oil pressure sending unit may be malfunctioning. there could be a faulty module or the wires and connectors could also be lose or faulty as well. you could also have a clogged oil filter but, that usually isn't the main issue here. the most common problem here would be a bad oil screen in the pan or a faulty oil pump. you will find the problem in these areas above.

SOURCE: Air conditioner intermittently works. check low

I haven't found a really good wiring schematic of the A/C on these cars. But, I can tell you that I had an intermittant problem with my Civic air conditioner that sounds similar to yours.
Mine would work fine in cool and warm weather, but when the outside temperatures got hot, it would quit working. The fan would blow; the system had a good charge on it; and the green A/C indicator light on the A/C on/off switch showed the system as being "on". Despite all the indicators saying the A/C is "on", the compressor clutch wouldn't come on when the weather got hot.
In my case, the reason it stopped working when hot, was due to some poor solder connections at the A/C on/off switch, which is part of the Heater Control Assembly.
I removed my Heater Control Assembly (challenging job), and pulled apart the Heater Control Assembly (more challenging) to access the solder connections for the A/C on/off switch. I resoldered those connections (six solder points) and put everything back together and everything has worked perfectly ever since that time (two years).
I have never seen a wiring schematic that shows this switch with more than three connections, and that is why I haven't posted a schematic for you. If you want the usual schematic(s), you can find one on autozone.com for your Honda.
If you are not comfortable pulling apart the Heater Control Assembly, and soldering those connections, you can install a new assembly which is available on-line. I saw one listed through Majestic Honda for about $240.

P1345 is cam shaft to crankshaft out of sync.Timing is off on the chain,but not by much,or it wouldn`t run.Oil pressure is low maybe because the oil pump is binding (tight)and making the cam drag(the oil pump shaft is driven off the cam),I would pull the oil pan ,and remove the oil pump and try and turn it to see if that is the problem..If it is ,replace it with a high volume so you know the oil pressure is gonna be good.Also check the oil sending unit before you do this so to see if it is the cause for the low oil pressure reading.If the oil pump is tight to turn,then this would cause the code,and there would be no reason to replace the timing chain.But if the oil pump is not hard to turn by hand ,then the timing chain and gears are to be changed,this would cause the code.If I can help,let me know.I will try to do my best to help.

Symptoms of a bad or failing Engine Oil Pressure Sensor
  • Oil Pressure Light comes on, and you check the engine oil level, But oil level is okay, you can blame the false reading on the sensor.
  • Oil Pressure Light blinking constantly. This is the normal >check< oil pressure sensor Warning that the sensor is going out.
  • If the sensor is giving false readings, Dispite oil level, the sensor could be replaced.
If the Sensor is currently not working, and does not warn you of engine oil level, and oil level gets extremely low, The Engine could burn up/stall due to lack of oil, and may not restart.
Then you could probably blame it on the sensor.
But really would be lack of oil.

Intermittent No Start,
Common causes deal with 3 basic systems/areas of engin
  1. Compression, its the build up of air and fuel into the engines cylinders. Then is compressed by the pistons. And is under pressure. FAILURE An Air leak (vacumm leak) will allow pressure to escape.
  2. Ignition System, good battery, good relays, wires are not loose or disconnected, good 10volts to starter, 10volts to distributer>gives 20kvolts to spark plugs>has strong spark to ignite compressed air in cylinders. Other sensors need to work. Crankshaft sensor(ccs) Throttle Position Sensor(TPS), +more
  3. Air/fuel Ratio, Air Intake Manifold, and Fuel Pressure Sensor *Fuel Injection Pressure Sensor---if car is fuel injected*, air filter is clean and intake manifold hose, Throttle Plate Acuater, Idle Air Contro Valve(IAC). Also vacumm leak cause no start. To much air not enough fuel will cause lean fuel mixter==low power, low idle, no start.......To much fuel not enough air will cause rich fuel mixter==too much fuel could cause engine knock, flooding of engine wet spark plugs, No Start

2004 sebring air conditioner stops and starts


Low freon will cause the compressor to short cycle, when the compressor runs the pressure in the low line is pulled down and the low pressure switch turns it off. Not running the pressure builds up and turns it back on. In the old days there was no low pressure switch, with no freon to carry the oil the compressor was destroyed.

It sounds like you've done just about everything except to check if there is a bad or intermittent wire causing this or perhaps your low-pressure safety cutout switch is possible going bad causing the compressor to kick on and off?

Hello: When the condition occurs pull over, do no turn engine off, open hood on the passenger side there is a line that comes out of the accumulator, if it is white(frosted up) the you have a low pressure switch that is not working properly. This switch cuts the compressor off to keep the system from freezing up. If you have this condition you can fix it yourself. Get a new switch and o ring, put a small amount of oil on the o ring. Unscrew the old switch, screw the new one in (electrical connector disconnected before removing old switch) connect the connector. You will not loose the freon as there is a schrader valve that will keep the freon in the system.

check the refrigerant level. The compressor is running until the low pressure or high pressure switch switch cuts it off.

Running the unit without enough refrigerant will damage the compressor because the lubricating oil is dissolved in the refrigerant. This is the reason for the low pressure switch cut off--to protect the compressor from damage.

If pressure gets too high, the compressor seals will blow. Thus the reason for the high pressure switch. Too much refrigerant or too much air in the system (due to a leak) will cause high pressures.

If refrigerant level appears to be correct, then suspect trapped air from a leak causing a high pressure cut-off. If refrigerant is low, suspect a leak causing a low pressure cut-off.

HI, giving the compressor 12v directly is not the way to go as you are bypassing the entire fail safe cercuit. it seem to me that your ac gas is low(can be checked via ac pressure gauges) wich means you have a system leak sumwhere. as soon as your hi/low pressure switch(depending on system) detect inferior pressure to the spesified pressure ,the ac compressor voltage is cut in order to protect the pump from seizure.

Or perhaps your evaporator(small radiator like unit behind dash) can get freezed up caused by either too mutch system gas(check pressure) or poor opperation of the expantion valve. the evaporator then has a sensor(themometer) wich measures evap. temp and if the value drops below spec (usially round about7degrees) the ac compressor will be cut once again(fail safe)

Maybe your ac compressor overheats due to inferior system oil/oil capasity, also note that only some systems incorperate the function of measuring ac pump temp. then again temp to high= fail safe=no12v to ac pump.
