It should be on the firewall side of motor.

My 2002 vue was running great than turn key to start while running turn off now it will not turn over is it a fuse or did I fry the starter?


will not turn over Monty, Check your fuses first, chances are the starter drive may be stuck, if you are handy give the starter body a sharp whack with heavy object to see if it will free up.

Starter wires


robert place large thick red /main cable onto big threaded terminal on solenoid of starter ,the smaller wire woukld atttach to the smaller terminal ..........im not sure of the snap terminal

A mystery to me! Maybe you know!?


It's the starter relay over heating,It located under the dash and looks like the picture below.

Need to check the Starter but i don't know were to find the Starter?


Hi,

The starter is usually at the rear of the engine mounted on the bell housing before the transmission. Best is to follow the big battery cable (not the ground -). It would look something like this.

In the picture below, the upper portion is the starter solenoid while the one below it is the actual starter.

This of course assuming that all other vital components of the car are working.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.
