Where is blower motor located and how do I replace it?

    are you sure its not the blower motor resistor? it can cause the same prob...

    Why has it quit completely or do you have one or two fan blower speeds remaining??

1.disconect battery
2. remove lower right undre panel silencer duct
3. remove the blower moter connector from the resistor block
4. squeeze the blower moter wiring gromment and push the gromment throw the blower moter housing cover
5. remove blower moter housing
6.romove the screws holding the blower moter down
to put back on do the steps back werds

Where is blower resistor located in 97 intrepid


The blower moter resistor is located behind the right side of the dash,
on the bottom of the heater case. Hope this helps.

It could be the the fan motor relay if you replace the relay and it still doesn't work then its the blower motor needing to be replaced.

My heater fan only works on high


100%: This is the Blower Motor Resistor that needs to be replaced. It is located adjacent to the Blower Motor. You will have to take the Dash Glove Box out to access.

your blower motor resistor is bad, it is a small electrical component located next to the blower motor under the dash, held it with two screws.

Blower motor inop


Run 12 volts directly to blower motor to see if motor will run, if it does, than its blower motor resister thats bad, if it don't run than its blower motor motor thats bad. Most likely its the resister, common problem.
